BUILD LOG #2
🕑 Added 2017-12-04 01:49:29 +0000 UTC- Windows is installed and activated
- Both hard drives are installed, with the 2TB HDD partitioned for organization.
- New intake fan installed in front (total fans: 1 intake, 2 exhaust, not including CPU fan. I know you should have at least as many intakes as you do exhaust fans but it's still an improvement over my current build. I do have a spare fan and a spot to install it if I do want 2 intakes, though...)
- USB expansion is installed, providing me with 4 more USB slots
- Cables are mostly managed, though not 100% as I'll need to get to one for the GPU when that's installed
To do:
- Get all programs installed on the new system
- Get files synced on the new system
- Get the GPU migrated to the new system, install old AMD GPU on current system
- Move the new system to my room, move current system to the former office.
Additionally, tomorrow the kitchen should finally be back together after way too long. They were supposed to be out Friday/Saturday but they never came.
File migration is probably gonna be the slowest phase. I'll continue to use this PC until I have all my essentials moved over. And because everything will be on my home network, if there's a file I forgot to move, I can just access it and copy it over without having to do any physical file transfer.
And I've said this arleady but HOLY SHIT the new build is super quiet.
