Re: the arrest videos of Melani. Of course she’s infuriating but let’s look at the Utah police attitudes towards women vs men. Alex was a cold blooded murderer as was Brian Laundrie. The police give both murderers passes. That’s infuriating too. The deferential treatment of men as opposed to the distain for women is so obvious 😬

I've been wondering whether people with pathologies like Lori's have a sort of reality impairment along the same lines as their empathy impairment and emotional difficulties; it strikes me as the same kind of behavior as when younger kids lie blatantly, where it seems like they assume reality is malleable, and saying or believing something hard enough will make it real. It reads to me as something that's neither a delusion nor a lie in the usual sense of "I know this isn't true but I think I can trick someone into believing it." Closer to "This isn't true but if I say it enough it will be." The behavior feels to me like it isn't calculated, but desperate and the result of someone lacking the appropriate tools to get what they want.

I agree, Dr. John, on the judge’s demeanor. Lori definitely went too far this time and he is done with her. However, his reaction was still so professional. I’m wondering if he will be less lenient and more firm than in the first trial when she oversteps the court law now. And then there’s the poor prosecutor just doing her job and Lori trying to pile on more work.

I have been a fan of you guys from the beginning, I have alarms set to let me know when you are going live and have new posts. I am also a night owl and love how a lot of them come out late so I can listen to them while I'm cleaning and my husband and 4 kiddos are asleep and can listen and enjoy the show.... She is so focused on exact black/white, she misses the basic understanding of what the Judge is telling her or asking her to explain. Relevance??? Have you seen or know of Lori Vallow -Daybell?
