@Lauren please look at YT page Word Wise search Chad Daybell. She is a professional writer that summarizes his published works. Very interesting. You three would make a monumental collab. Thank you for all your hard work 💓

I’m catching much more by reading the transcript than I did watching live. It got hard to hear, interruptions and so on. It makes it so clear that they had plans to off those kids for a long time. I feel like Charles is now taking care of both JJ and Tylee now in heaven. I pray for that. I hope they’ve also got Tammy in their company. I’m glad they now might get some justice with Chad receiving the death penalty, and Lori never getting out of jail. I think it’s important to expose this, so the next time someone thinks they can just take lives, marine they’ll think twice. Thanks Lauren and John for all you do.

Yes absolute agreee with you. Seeing Melanie’s compliance and belief in the situation is heart breaking. The rating of her kids. I hope their father is able to keep her away from them or at least only supervised visitation. I’m curious if there is more information that would allow LE to arrest Melani B for any type of child endangerment charges? After the trials happen? I hope LE is just biding their time with Mel B because it seems like a lot of incriminating information.

So bizarre to read like this. So many things to point out and discuss. Of course I noticed all the love and flattery expressed but during court, there are so many interruptions, stating time stamps, questioning, objections, etc, it was definitely hard to listen to in court… but reading it out as a transcript now, it’s like their erotic messaging to each other. Like they’re actually getting hot and bothered for each other with these messages. Of course, I thought it was totally cringe listening to court live, but reading the transcript now, it’s like some kind of disturbed sexting, not just affectionate phrases sprinkled throughout. The level of bizarre and disturbing info just gets worse everyday in court. I didn’t watch Lori’s trial or coverage of it so most of the texts are new to me outside of what’s shown in the Netflix documentary. I just started watching some of the testimony of her trial yesterday.

Oh, I can’t even get my mind around what Blake and Brighton will suffer when at some point they learn that their own mother Melani B (when they were just small vulnerable children) believed they were dark spirits and would eventually be killed and their mom was OK with that. But here’s why I think it had to happen that way. I don’t think Lori Could stand being the only one who had to “sacrifice” children. We know from her cousin she was very envious of anyone who had something she didn’t have even if she didn’t want it anymore(the ex-boyfriend story). I think it was Lori all the way who has the kind of psychological make up where she needed her Niece and others to suffer the same “loss” she did, even though she brought it on herself, it would further shore up the idea that it wasn’t just her family that had zombies attached to them. How will Melani ever explain herself to her children and how will they ever trust her again?

Thanks for this! I couldn’t read the texts on the court stream from my phone at work. Dr. John helped us understand why Chad wanted Lori’s children out of the way years ago. It’s proven in these texts- so Chad could have Lori all to himself un-encumbered. Help us understand what it benefited Chad by having Mel’s Blake and the other dark child, out of the way. Was Chad getting more power hungry or more sadistic? Or was he just trying to help Lori because Mel was tired of “taking care of zombies?” Also, my soon to be ex would say things like Chad. “If they are going to cry, I’ll give them something to cry about.” My ex’s family used to say it too. I never approved and wouldn’t allow it. Any thoughts on Chad saying he was allowed to feel his own emotions? My soon to be ex would tell me often he didn’t feel things the way other people do. I could never understand it. C to L 11:06 I seriously cannot stop crying. I was allowed to feel my own emotions. I will experience as you sing to them, and the love, admiration and reverence I have for you are indescribable. Everything we do together is going to be spectacular Thanks Lauren and Dr. John for all you do.

Thank you for posting the transcript of the jailhouse call. As a person who has difficulty hearing—especially recordings— reading the actual audio files provided greater insight into Lori and Chad’s horrific murder plot. I caught the live tonight, and as always, a big shout out to you for bringing more clarity and encouraging insightful discussion.

What a great presentation. And this will convict him.???? QUESTION: Dr John, there were actually three lines in the family chat that I think you could spend an hour talking about in terms of how it is that children like Chad’s can get so swept up into the beliefs of their parents that they would betray themselves and lie for their father. These are the three lines: It is when they are talking about the boy and Sunday school being dark and Emma says, “I like him.” And the response was NOT, “tell us why you like him, maybe we’re missing something we should think about that.” No. The response was “well maybe he’s influencing you.” That small exchange summed up why I finally had to part ways with my religion. Because it seemed that having been raised to believe I was specially chosen for these latter days also meant that Satan would always be at my back. And over and over I saw that if I questioned anything, that the more, serious or astute or well thought out my questions were, the more likely it was that some authority— in my case maybe a Bishop or a seminary teacher or a parent— would simply imply that the smarter the question, the greater the indication it was that Satan was influencing me. Because Satan was SO devious. People born into families were religious dogma is considered among The most important things, these children are born into a world where everything has already been answered, and questions, ANY question of that doctrine, us simply a sign of your weakness. If you want to own your own mind and your own life, then, like Heather Daybell and me and others, you feel you just have to leave — and then the family fractures and it’s so sad. And I think Chad‘s children have had this happened to them their entire lives. And now they will believe that, just as Chad gave scriptural excuses of how the righteous have to flee sometimes, he will have now convinced them that the righteous have to lie sometimes and Chad and Prior will get them to lie (or not tell the WHOLE truth) on the stand. I would love a psychologists view (YOURS) on this and how those children can be saved from this awful fate. Maybe an episode sometime?

And I’m talking about the jailhouse call with Lori and Chad. I couldn’t find the best place to comment my thoughts about that since I missed the live.

I feel like after listening to the call more intently, it makes me feel much more that Chad knew exactly what he was doing. It was apparent to me when Lori was asking for confirmation and it was only then that he almost goes into character to reassure her. It sounded so fake to me. It made me also realize how I think he was just waiting to find a person who he could manipulate. Like Julie, etc. and Lori just took the bait and ran. I’m not saying Lori is innocent, because she surely is not. I also think she’s very self serving. But this call made me really convinced that he absolutely knew he was BSing everyone. I think also he won’t plead guilty because he has too much pride to admit that it was all a scam. I think he knows exactly that it is though. Just my opinion, and not one I came to until after this jailhouse call.
