Hello Hidden Gems -
🕑 Added 2022-10-03 18:57:56 +0000 UTCTook a break from editing the upcoming Patreon episode to answer some questions we are continuing to have.
John and I are not taking any new direction. We are doing what we’ve always done—talking about the Daybell case, along with other crimes, at our our dinner table and hosting Podcast and YouTube episodes.
Lori Hellis is a guest and legal expert who makes appearances on our YouTube channel.
While Lori is actively engaged in filing her motions we are respectfully not commenting on the proceedings as we don’t want to be directly involved in the case.
Lori Hellis explained this in her August 10th newsletter: “Journalists are taught not to make themselves part of a story they’re covering, so they can remain objective.”
Our Patreon/podcast episodes have always been hosted by John and me.
We plan to continue following the Daybell case. We even plan to attend the trial! We will help keep you informed. We also plan to continue bringing additional interviews that help us understand the inner workings of the Daybell case.
We hope to catch up with Lori in the future. Until then we are letting her filings play out in court.
One day the Daybell case will be over, but Hidden True Crime will continue to cover the most interesting and relevant true crime cases.
Lastly—Patreon episode coming later today! 🙌🏼

Hi Lauren. I'm really glad I found your youtube and patreon site. Y'all are great. I was wondering if you know if they took the Dateline episode down? I can't find it anywhere. Thanks

Take good care, Lauren. You and John are doing wonderfully with the quality and quantity of your output. I fully support both and you and Lori H. in taking wise and professionally prudent steps in and around this case. Lotsa love + healing!

Yes, take care of you. Both your health and your Journalistic integrity. Thank you for letting us know. And I hope TGIF, might make a comeback. It was just that much lighter than your regular episodes. Though your humor always shines through, and your spirit is beautiful.

Thank you for posting.

I have missed the dinner table conversations. Glad to see them make a comeback.

Totally understand this 100%. I think there has been uncertainty felt with no cameras in the courtroom, Lori Hellis filing her motions, and her absence. I have taken a let’s wait and see attitude. Hope you are on the mend.
