I wonder if he would have made my skin crawl if I met him in the past. Pretty sure that is a yes. I can’t imagine the layers of onion in him. This is just the surface of the disgusting in him and his past. His lies cracked me up- Dabal and Iowa?! That’s as far from the truth as he could get? No wonder he got caught so easily! Charles knew he was in danger, but not really. It's hard to comprehend evil like that. So many people were pulled in by appearances. Chad is a soft spoken, polite bumbler. Along with his manner of dressing, he looks totally innoculous. That also must be how the LDS church was taken in to allow him to use the Temple facilities. He appears to be doing everything right.

All I could think of while listening to this is how Charles KNEW something bad was going to happen and wasn’t able to get others to take him seriously. That trio of evil idiots devised and executed the most overt murder plot and STILL nothing happened. I mean….. the cop cam video of Lori beaming right after Charles was murdered, the pool party, not telling Charles’s family he was dead…. It’s all so infuriating.

One more thing, he says “cremains” a couple times, which is his way of saying “look at me, I know the lingo of the funeral industry.” Most people would probably say “ashes” unless they’re from the industry. (My in-laws are which is why I noticed.) it seemed like such a self-important thing to say almost like he was in on this private hilarious joke and he was so smart to get away with murder.

Extra infuriating the way he makes clear he wants nothing but the cheapest most basic thing possible done with this body. I may be reading into it but it seemed the woman on the phone was taken aback a bit by his callousness when talking about that.

His nervous chortle/giggle seems doubly intended to convince both his listener of his naive innocence and purity, and to some extent, himself as well. This gosh-golly, aw-shucks demeanor is why so many people couldn't believe he would do such horrific things, including his own children.

He is not very imaginative. Chad Dumbell is more like it. I know, not nice. However, this lack of creativity is not unexpected after hearing his writings. He must have thought that he was living the dream, having followers and a hot (murderous) blonde at his side. I must admit, I at first thought that he might have gotten involved with Lori and Alex and was thinking “oh crap! Look what they did! I have to cover it up!” Was I wrong. Has there ever been a case like this before?

To me this shows he was completely complicit Charles's death. The fact that he fabricated a story rather than asking truthfully what the cost of cremation would be shows he was more involved with the planning of Charles's murder.
