Mod: Rideable Dragons (requires Cottage Living)

Sul sul! I'm back with another animated skill mod: rideable dragons. This is a completely custom new animal for the Sims, complete with life stages (Child, Teen, Adult, Elder).
These dragons breathe fire, and until you train (or cheat) them not to, they will start fires on your lot autonomously. You can dye their scales using crystals, but be warned that this only lasts for a single life stage, after which they will return to the color they were born. I chose to not make them route like horses; instead, they stay in the same place. This is because the full grown dragons are very large, and having a giant fire hazard moving about the lot seemed like a bad idea. The dragons also get one of four preferred gifts: sweets, crystals, books, or simoleons.
There is an associated skill: Dragon Taming, which unlocks riding and new interactions. Child Sims will not be able to ride dragons, but they can still clean, feed, and take care of them just the same. To get started, buy and place a Dragon Egg from Buy Mode.

Thank you to all who made this mod possible! I hope you enjoy playing as much as I did creating it. 🥰 ~ JS
NOTE: This mod requires Cottage Living. I'm working on a Base Game compatible version now.

hello, first, thank you for this mod! I love it. It seems like it's broken atm ;( I'm not able to ride any dragons or really interact with them. I tried redownloading it, but it didn't seem to help.

Can I use this mod with Horse Ranch instead of Cottage Living

Hi, I suspect this mod might not be fully compatible with BrazenLotus’s mods, though I’m not sure which specific one is causing the issue. Whenever I have this mod installed alongside BrazenLotus’s Crafting, Gameplay, and Livestock mods, I encounter a bug where the “Feed With” option appears on random items. When used individually, both mods work fine with no problems, but the issue only occurs when they’re installed together. I usually overlook minor compatibility conflicts, but I believe there might be a deeper underlying issue causing this.

OMG, you're a goddess! I've longed for an opportunity to build Pern, and now I can. Thank you!

Nope, I'm sorry I don't know what had happened, but after going through my mods folder and re-doing some somethings, I wasn't able to replicate the issue. My bad. All good!

Holaa, first off, I'm very impressed with this mod! Also, I had a UI issue that caused the screen to be dim lit and, unable to play, with all of my mods including yours. Last exception was blaming UI cheats mod, which I isolated and found was not the problem. So I isolated this mod, and everything works, except I can't see the skill panel for my sim & with only this mod installed, I'm getting a last exception that includes: "Error: Unable to retrieve static data for skill with skill id" Oh, and when using MCComand to cheat max out the Taming skill, the Taming skill is listed twice. And you have to max out both that are listed in order for the game to register that its maxed out. And theeenn is when the skill panel doesn't show up at all.

perhaps u could make an alternative version that allows for the dragon to free-roam?? id gladly accept the fire risk XD plus once u train em to stop it should be fine haha, just seems a lil sad to have em not move about
