What I'm Working On #017

Ballet
The above is a ROUGH work in progress of the Odile animation - rounding out another week of working on animations for the ballet mod. I also made the icons for the skill and broke things down into interactions.
A lot of my animation time is spent looking at the feet close up, trying to make sure they stay on the ground... or at least close enough when you're not looking right at them.
This is also a small thing, but I figured out how to mirror animations so they play on both sides automatically - no additional animation on my part needed! This will help add some lovely variety I think. :) I also investigated translating the adult animations to children, and it's surprisingly easier than I expected! Still takes time, but faster than creating new ones.
Spinning Wheel
This week I worked on meshing the spinning wheel. Next steps are to texture and rig it so it will animate!
Archery Update
I only have one or two animations left for the archery hunting update, and I'm hoping to get these out this week.
Walk Together
I spent a few hours on this mod this week and am unfortunately running into some issues with the walkstyles. They're able to walk together, but getting them to be arm in arm for a waypoint interaction is proving more difficult than hoped. I'm still very much investigating but this may take a bit longer than I initially hoped.
Bugfixes
Finally, a lot of time this week was spent on general updates. I'm investigating bugs with Blacksmithing, the Harp and Cello footprints, and I have a few more things I'm investigating in the Regency mod. I really appreciate you reaching out with bugs you notice - I couldn't do it without you.

I don't know if you're already in tech. I don't know if you want to be. But what I have seen on this Patreon is extraordinary, and the way you document your creations and your reasoning thoroughly would make any engineering or product manager incredibly happy. If you're not already making a very comfortable salary, you should consider using this as a portfolio for job applications. What you are doing is so much more work and shows far more talent than just about any modder out there. I've never contributed to a Patreon for custom content for any game, because so much of it is just reskinning or making pretty pictures on a mesh. You think things through from a storyline perspective, from a history perspective, from a technical and animation and design perspective...
