去年の６月の予告通り、６月に活動休止します。

As announced last June, I will be going on hiatus this coming June.
先日までは支援サイトのプランと記事、アカウントなど全てを削除する予定で告知しておりましたが、ファンの方からDMでプランを残しておいてほしいというメッセージを頂き、再検討しました。過去の投稿記事はそのまま残しておきます。
Until recently, I had announced that I would be deleting all plans, articles, and my account on the support platform.
However, after receiving a message from a fan via DM asking me to keep the plans, I reconsidered.
I have decided to leave the past posts as they are.
というのも、更新が見られないのに毎月ご支援いただくのは申し訳ないと思っていたためです。
実際問題少し助かる部分はあるのですが無理せずプランを抜けていただければと思います。
最近私を知った方、過去に加入していて抜けた方、絵を見るために１ヶ月だけ加入、その後脱退、単体記事買い取り(Patreon)などの使い方をしていただいても構いません。
The reason is that I felt bad about receiving monthly support despite not posting any updates.
To be honest, the support does help me a bit, but please don’t hesitate to cancel your plan if it becomes a burden.
If you’ve recently discovered me, previously joined and left, or just want to join for a month to view my artwork and then leave, or purchase individual posts (on Patreon), all of those ways of supporting are perfectly fine.
ゲリラ的に日記や絵をアップロードするなどはあるかもしれませんが、そのときは告知します。
I might occasionally upload diary entries or artwork on a whim, but I will make an announcement when I do.
私事ですがちょっと自分の話をさせてください。
コミッションを始めた時の自分は、当時間違いなく人生で一番どん底におりました。
夢を追って上京し失敗して帰省(今でも夢に見ます)、イラストレーターになりたいと思いつつアルバイトばかりで絵仕事をやったことがない、その後初めての商業案件で公開直前で却下され非公開(当時はかなりショックを受けましたが割とある話っぽい)、家庭が安らげる場所ではないので確実に逃げるタイミングを伺って貯金していたりなど まあまだあるんですが ハイ 悪い道に進む寸前であったとは思います。
If I may talk a bit about myself—
When I first started taking commissions, I was undoubtedly at the lowest point in my life.
I had moved to Tokyo to chase my dreams but ended up failing and returning home (I still dream about it even now).
I wanted to become an illustrator, but all I was doing were part-time jobs, with no actual experience in illustration work.
Later, I got my first commercial project, only for it to be rejected right before release and never made public (I was really shocked at the time, though I’ve since learned that it's not all that uncommon).
Home wasn’t a peaceful place for me either, so I was secretly saving money while looking for the right moment to escape.
There’s more, but... well, let's just say I was probably on the verge of going down a very dark path.
そこで突然の入院手術が決まり、そのお金がなかったので2ヶ月で用意しなければなりませんでした。
とはいえその時持っていた貯金でなんとかなりましたが！！ 高額医療制度使うために市役所行ったしな…日本の医療費安くない？
市販薬じゃなくちゃんとした病院行ってお金使う方が最終的に安くてコスパ良いですよね？(脱線)
Then, out of nowhere, I found out I needed surgery and had to be hospitalized.
I didn’t have the money for it, so I had to come up with the funds in just two months.
That said, I somehow managed with the savings I had at the time!! I even went to the city office to apply for the high-cost medical expense benefit...
Isn’t Japan’s healthcare surprisingly affordable?
Like, isn’t it actually more cost-effective to go to a proper hospital and spend the money rather than relying on over-the-counter meds? (Sorry, went off-topic there.)
手段を選んでられなかったのでSkebを始め(結果的にあまり意味がなかったのですが)、ご依頼いただけることが続き長年の”絵仕事をしてイラストレーターになってみたい”が3年ほど叶いました。かなりありがたく貴重な体験でした。やってよかったと思っています。
I was in no position to be picky about how I made money, so I started using Skeb (though in the end, it didn’t help much).
Fortunately, commissions kept coming in, and for about three years, I was able to live out my long-held dream of “working as an illustrator and doing art professionally.”
It was an incredibly valuable and meaningful experience, and I’m truly grateful for it.
Looking back, I’m really glad I gave it a try.
ここで私の立場でクライアントさんや支援者さんにお伝えしたいのは、みなさんが無理しない範囲でクリエイターを応援してあげてほしいと思いました。
現実問題、自分はメンタル面と金銭面でかなり安定してきましたし、トラブルは少し有りましたが、お金に関する割と重大な問題は0件でした。
前回の記事で過去のイラストをアップロードしましたが、明らかに技術も上がりました。
トラブルにならないように厳しい振る舞いをあえてしていた部分もありますが、みなさんが”良い人”だったのでこれが叶ったと思います。かなり幸運で恵まれていました。
What I want to say, from my position as a creator, is this:
Please support creators only within your means—don’t overextend yourselves.
As for me personally, both my mental state and finances have become much more stable over time.
While there were a few bumps along the way, I experienced zero serious issues related to money.
In my previous post, I shared some of my older illustrations, and it’s clear that my skills have improved.
There were times when I deliberately maintained a strict or cautious demeanor to avoid any trouble,
but thanks to all of you being genuinely kind and supportive, everything went smoothly.
I was truly lucky and blessed.
自分はみなさんに救ってもらったと思ってるので、ツイッターでも昔から何度も言ってるんですが本当に感謝しています。クリエイターを支援する人、絵を買う人みなさんすごいと思います。本来それをしなくても生きていけるので…オーダーメイドの絵高いし…上記のアカウント存続の検討材料にこの事がありました。
I truly believe that I was saved by all of you.
I’ve said this many times on Twitter over the years, but I really am deeply grateful.
I have so much respect for people who support creators and purchase artwork.
After all, you can live your life just fine without doing those things… and custom illustrations aren’t cheap either.
This was one of the key reasons I reconsidered whether or not to keep my account active.
自分はどちらかというと満足した感があるのと、気持ちを切り替えたいのと、新しい目標ができてそれに進みたかったり、ライフステージ向上のためにできることをしたいので休止という形を取ります。
そして闇を抱えるクリエイターで救われる人はいると思うので、ぜひどんな形でもいいので応援してあげてほしいです。犯罪に手を染めなくて済む人もいると思います、大真面目に、、
Personally, I feel a sense of satisfaction and want to shift my mindset.
I also have new goals I want to pursue and want to do what I can to improve my life stage,
so I have decided to take a hiatus.
I believe there are creators struggling with darkness who can be saved,
so I sincerely hope you will support them in any way you can.
I truly believe that support can help keep some from turning to crime.
私のように貯金したり、美味しいものを食べたり、好きなものを買ったり、ネガでティブな状態から逃げるためだったり、お金面じゃなくても温かいコメントでメンタルが救われたりすると思います。

最近植物を育てることにハマりました。
次は多分薬膳とスパイスにハマりそうです。
Like me, some of you might be saving money, enjoying delicious food, buying things you love, or using support to escape negative and tough times.
Even if it’s not about money, warm comments can really help heal your mental state.

Lately, I’ve gotten really into growing plants.
Next, I think I’ll probably get hooked on herbal medicine and spices.
活動するにあたって技術向上に対する葛藤などずっと楽しいかと言われたらそうではなかったですが、好きなことを仕事にしたとして、そういうものだと思うので体験できてよかったです。

If you ask me whether improving my skills and dealing with related struggles has always been fun, I’d say not really.
But I believe that’s just part of turning what you love into your work, so I’m glad I got to experience it.
After my hiatus, I might be around sometimes and not others, but if you see me, please feel free to say hello!
