I wish I liked irn bru more but it will never hold up to my favourite drink of all time, Iron Brew (which is a south African brand of pop which was owned by Coke but no longer is)

On the topic of soft drinks, a good UK brand I've always liked is Fentimans. A Yorkshireman founded the company, and their drinks are brewed in the North East in Hexham, so are rather close to home for me, being from the North East myself. they are more on the pricy side but are good as a nice treat every so often.

I was fully going to suggest Irn Bru as the alternative; my personal favourite! Also, fun fact: just as Scotland is the only country where Coke isn't the most popular soft drink, Scotland is also the only country where the American based Hell's Angels isn't the biggest biker gang (the Blue Angels have always held them out). So apparently Scotland is just the last bastion of defence against the global Americanisation, and I could not be more proud!
