Chapter 14: Give a handle
🕑 Added 2025-10-12 11:26:51 +0000 UTCThe spider-sense detected a strong threat, but the Green of All Things felt exuberant. The two abilities showed opposite results inside Connors, who watched Batman recover from his hallucinations and then defeat Scarecrow, before hurrying to slip away first.

"NO, NO, NO."
If it weren't for the fact that allowing the Scarecrow to release his poison gas at the concert could have caused a stampede and panic incident on the level of 10,000 people, Connors would have turned a blind eye. He's a melon-eater, not here to save the world; he's just capable of saving it when he has to.
Over there at the stadium, a lot of ice covered the building, and there were nearly 10,000 spectators watching the concert inside. He decided to go over and see what happened.
With little effort, Batman was freed from the illusion created by Scarecrow's "fear gas." As for subduing a Scarecrow who was not very strong in his own right, Batman easily took him down.
However, instead of smiling at the ease with which he could handle the Scarecrow, he looked at the weeds growing along the cracks in the ground, which spelled out a message:
"THANK ME QUICKLY."
Poison Ivy didn't do this kind of thing. The only other person in Gotham who controlled plants and had this kind of mood was Connors.
"If he didn't take action in time, it would have been a disaster-level event to have the entire stadium filled with fear gas. Strictly speaking, he's not a bad person yet, is he?" In the intercom, Alfred, the butler, laughed.
"Even so, I'm going to visit Poison Ivy tonight to see if she knows what this Connors is about… He may not be a partner, but Gotham City no longer needs so many villains," Batman whispered.
"It's a pity that Poison Ivy has not been contacted. The surveillance on my side just now showed that Poison Ivy has left Gotham Woods and entered the city," Alfred the housekeeper said with a pretense of regret. Then he went on to ask, "So, will tonight's dinner with the big star Shayna continue?"
Seeing that Bruce Wayne was not saying a word, the butler took it upon himself to set up the date for the playboy, Master Wayne, with the female star.
Batman launched his grappling hook, connecting one end to the Batwing above his head. He tied up the Scarecrow with the other end, allowing Alfred to control the aircraft to take the Scarecrow away. The tanker left in place was filled with fear gas, and Batman also arranged for the butler to secretly transfer it to his own Batcave. He then made a quick run in the direction of the stadium, where the temperature was showing a distinct chill. He had to hurry over and take a look.
As for Poison Ivy not being connected, it was impossible for him to look all around for her. And since the true identity of this star singer named Shayna was a superhero, it wouldn't hurt to have dinner together. Batman thought to himself.
"…Do you like being tied up?" Connors looked at the star singer Shayna, who had been tied up in a trick again, and laughed.
"Mmph-mmph-mmph!" Angered and annoyed, Shayna was speechless. A sickly green tinge had appeared on her face, and plants were beginning to grow strangely all over her body.
After escaping from the binding of the spider silk with the help of her frost powers, she had also understood that her 10,000 spectators in the stadium were in danger and had decisively used her ice to block the vents. However, during the blockade, it was inevitable that she would freeze the surrounding plants. So, before her plan to return to the stage and stabilize the scene could be launched, she was tied up by a ghostly woman who could control plants.
"Ivy, if you kill her, I won't be able to hear such beautiful singing in the future." Harley Quinn had had contact with Poison Ivy at Arkham Asylum, and with her intervention, Poison Ivy did not deliver a killing blow. It's just that after Ivy came over and kissed Harley very, very strangely in her eyes, Poison Ivy took Harley Quinn and left quickly.
Shayna wanted to continue untying herself with the help of her frost abilities, but she only found out after Poison Ivy was gone that her body was getting more and more uncontrolled. And then Connors arrived.
With a wave of his hand to control the vines to loosen their ties, Connors caught Shayna as she fell from the air and got a rough idea of her situation. This look, with a green face and grass on her body, was 100% an encounter with Poison Ivy. With the same "Green of All Things" power as Poison Ivy, Connors naturally knew how to save her.
"Looking at your appearance, you won't live long—" With the certainty of being able to save her in his heart, Connors was in no hurry and deliberately frightened her.
As expected, his prank came into effect. Upon hearing these words, Shayna, who was glamorous and extremely confident on stage, combined with the fact that her body could not move and her abilities could not be displayed, immediately felt her pupils dilate with fright, and tears were about to burst out of her eyes.
"I can save you, but the way to save you will be a little special. If you agree, blink three times in a row."
When Connors saw that the big star was about to cry, he quickly stopped teasing her. After he spoke, he saw the other person's big eyes with long eyelashes blinking three times without hesitation.
With her consent, Connors, without hesitation, held the stiff and immobile Shayna in his arms, then lowered his head and kissed her.
The kiss left a lingering fragrance. But Connors was careless.
It was true that the poison Ivy had left in Shayna's body was a virus, and Connors could indeed unravel it, but the remaining hormones made things move in an uncontrollable direction.
After the kiss, Shayna's body recovered quickly. Her skin became smooth and supple again, her red lips were delicate and dripping, and her body was no longer stiff, but extremely soft.
At the same time, her whole body became extremely hot. Poison Ivy's hormones were still working.
"Ah, no…" Connors sighed in his heart and waved his hand to let the plants left by Poison Ivy that had grown beyond common sense combine into a tight cabin. A large bed of soft straw mats was placed in the wooden hut.
This was on the rooftop not far from the stadium. After Connors had only had time to control the plants to do all this, his clothes were already being torn apart by Shayna.

"Master Wayne, according to a body analysis, one of the people in this room is the star singer you are going to date tonight—oh, I'll cancel the date right now."
The butler suppressed a smile and said on the intercom. Batman had searched around for a long time and finally found something unusual, but he didn't expect it to be this kind of scene.
Bruce Wayne sighed. His keen sense of hearing could pick up that the red lips inside, which were supposed to produce beautiful singing, were at this moment making the sound of sucking something. He turned and jumped off the roof.
The search for Poison Ivy couldn't be delayed any longer!
