So far yes there are direct characters . Vi, Powder(Jinx), Caitlin, Jayce, Viktor, Heimerdinger, (and a few characters to be revealed) are all fully playable characters in league. They have all been favorites for years now so this was such a lore treat for the fans to flesh them out in this way.

If you do want to get into Valorant the closed beta just came out for console! Like you I didn’t grow up playing m&k so I’ve been really enjoying it on controller and would highly recommend!
