New Gamemode Report

Hey hows it going.
After finishing Wonderworld, I started to notice source was being underutilized as a creative toolbox, nobody seems to be willing to try anything new or fresh with it which is a real shame. That's why I'm creating a new project with a team of developers.
This project is based off an old gamemode for HL2DM RP. It was an addictive and ruthless experience due to its structure and couldn't be found anywhere else. If we take this concept, improve upon it heavily and translate it in either Source or Source 2 we can create something really unique and interesting to play.
These are our focus points:
RIVALRY
In HL2DM there were longstanding rivalries that could last for months on end due to the structure of the gamemode. We bring this back by cultivating a highly competitive environment with RP elements and interactive features in the map.
LONGEVITY
You can own property on the server for as long as you want, after disconnecting it's still there for you to use. This combined with long-lasting vendettas with people make it a much more personal experience than most games.
GAMEPLAY
Interactivity and skill-based gameplay rather than an endless list of rules like most gamemodes. Nobody wants to follow orders and listen to power tripping admins, where the hell is the FUN?
CYBERPUNK
We will be featuring all this in a high-tech low life environment, which is essentially a chaotic technology based society. We'll pick and choose cyberpunk concepts from movies/games and mix them into the gamemode.

A good gamemode allows interactivity, replayability and finds ways to keep you entertained by continuously experimenting in different areas. If you need lots of rules to enforce your gamemode, your gamemode wasn't that good to begin with. There won't be any "pay-to-win" elements in our gamemode.
The framework is focused on increasing performance by reducing net traffic, database access and unnecessary calculations.
As soon as the gamemode is done, we'll release the framework for other developers to use.

We're about to start Phase 1, where we plan out the map-spacing to ensure fluid and dynamic gameplay and a solid structure of the gamemode.
As we are building upon this gamemode, we will be hiring people to work in the following areas:
Building models and world objects
Player models & animations
Weapon models & animations
Roaming NPCs
Gamemode mechanics & visuals experimentation

Beta Tester: Depending on the amount of applicants and the duration of your support, we will consider you for a beta-tester role for this gamemode as soon as we get near the official release.
Previous Rewards: You will also be getting the rewards from the $5 tier and other general posts since this is the highest tier on here.
I will still be creating my regular videos on here with progress updates on Discord for both my projects & regular videos.
This is a project I've always wanted create and translate and I hope this report has given you a bit of insight into this new gamemode and I'll see you in the Discord!

Hey Daniel, have you ever thought of making an CSGO ESEA account? I know that may not be your style, but you are pretty good at FPS games from what I've seen, and I think you could pull some hilarious reactions from players on that type of game.

Genuinely can't wait. Me and my friend have been talking about creating a Gmod server with new concepts but we've never had the money to fund it so this sounds awesome!
awesome, I remember playing HL2DM RP, it was so confusing to me at first but I really did enjoy and remember having a good experience on it, cant wait for this

Nice, after I couldn't get into the revamped TRP, and after Gunsmoke died, AND once HL2RP died I was left with nothing. So this will be fun, I'm excited.
