In a rare interview with XXL published Tuesday (April 12), Playboy Carti credited Tech N9ne as a pioneer of his gothic rockstar movement. “Tech N9ne, he’s the pioneer of what I got going on right now,” the Atlanta native explained. “When it comes to having a cult following, embracing yourself and sticking to your vision, Tech N9ne is the pioneer of that. So, it’s only right I give him his flowers. “And, he’s very big in his own world and it’s the same thing with me. Even with the merch. Tech N9ne is the pioneer of this shit. Rock stars. He embraced the rock star, punk shit in Hip Hop and it’s fire.”

Canal St is like a redone version of the Bones song “Dirt” he got Bones to do the chorus still and changed some stuff w/ the beat https://youtu.be/0IYght7FGdg The Smokey Robinson song is also sampled on the $uicideboy$ song “Coma” Also Juicy J from the group Three Six Mafia. I’d say check Mystic Stylez by them

If you liked that Lil Wayne verse I seriously couldnt recommend his album Tha Carter 3 any more. Plenty of hip hop classics on there with amazing production and some great concept songs that youd love. The most impressive part of all is that he doesnt write any lyrics! Everything he raps is off the top of his head. Great video Merc

My bad you found it in the video was just assuming there would be no research

Asap Rocky was recording the album in London and one night he went out and encountered a (I think homeless) man busking and selling CDs and instead of buying a CD Rocky brought him into the studio. That was Joe Fox.
