Pulp - His 'n' Hers - CLASSIC
🕑 Added 2023-03-02 20:52:44 +0000 UTCGutted. Steve Mackey has died. He was the bassist of one of my favourite bands of all time, Pulp. In his honour I will post this episode of Dis-Cover which never made it to YouTube. In fact, this high-quality-file version of the episode has never been posted anywhere before!
I have a proper history with this man and this band. I heard 'Do You Remember The First Time' and 'Babies' in the 90s and those songs changed my life. Before hearing Pulp I was 'METAL'... afterwards I was 'INDIE'. I really enjoyed my time embracing Britpop. I never really considered Pulp "Britpop" although they did come to define the era.
I was at the legendary 1994 Christmas gig at Drury Lane where we almost brought the centuries-old balcony down. I was young. I was vibrant. Pulp were exciting. Jarvis was, for a moment, the greatest front man of all time.
Listen to His 'n' Hers with me today, 2023. Let's see if the heady mix of Bowie and flock wallpaper still melt my heart?
