In the end, it was discovered that the woman's name was Nirra, a Myrian slave who had been captured by the Khalasar years ago when she was a child. According to the interrogation, she had hated everything related to magic when an oracle told her father that they should go to Pentos, a place where riches and prosperity awaited them in abundance.
It should be noted that neither the one nor the other awaited them, but they were unlucky enough to meet a Dothraki Khalasar, who captured the women and young children and killed the men of the caravan, including Nirra's father.
That is why, after seeing my deeds and actions, she communicated with seven other slaves to try to kill me, though it did not end well, resulting in her now being there along with her seven other helpers.
"This slave whore tried to kill me, and thanks to that, she will die; however, it will not be quick; she will suffer, being a clear sign to those who hold grudges against me," I told them all, watching as they made a large circle around the podium where I was sitting earlier with my riders and Amanda.
Once I felt the message was clear, I permitted three of my wolves to rise from their rest, leaving behind the bones and skins of the cows they had already eaten.
The wolves, stained with cow's blood, came down from the podium with a confident and silent step, leaving a tense atmosphere in the air.
When they reached the slaves, who were unable to run because of the noose around their necks and were tied to a log, the wolves began to sniff each one, filling them with anxiety and fear.
The wolves, as if playing with their prey, did not attack them right away, but once they saw that they already had their prey in fear, the first wolf pounced on the leg of one of the slaves.
"Crack!"
The distinctive sound of bones being broken was heard in the silent place, which was chased away by the slave's piercing screams as the wolf continued to bite.
The other two wolves were not far behind and also began to take off piece by piece of the slaves until each was unrecognizable.
When the wolves were pleased with their work, they returned to where they were before, and sitting down as if they hadn't just finished killing eight people, they stared at everyone carefully.
"Don't let this dampen the celebration!" I shouted, getting everyone's attention, while at the same time signaling to several women who were carrying carts full of freshly cooked meat and dozens of mugs full of beer.
"Let the feast continue!" I ordered, only to sit back in my chair, watching as some of the men and women quickly carried away what was left of the slaves.
With that said, the party continued smoothly, with women dancing seductively and several having their sexes out in the open in front of everyone.
It was at this point that, from one moment to the next, two Dothraki began to fight to see who would get a keg of ale, pulling out their arakh and fighting carelessly.
It was worth seeing, and understanding why they killed each other at weddings or parties, it made the celebration more enjoyable.
The conflict ended with one of the Dothraki having his throat cut, and at the same time, the victor cut off his braid.
"Pour this on his chest before he dies," I said to Zirqo, handing him a potion of regeneration splash.
"My Khal, I have what you asked for." I heard Maicol's voice, and looking towards the sound of his voice, I saw him with a big smile.
"Arrive then, Maicol; don't keep us waiting to see your creations," I said, seeing Maicol instructing two young men to follow him.
As Maicol stood in front of me, I could see that his face was a little dirty with soot, although that did not make his smile fade, and, taking the load from the two young men accompanying him, he left them on the podium for a moment.
"My Khal, firstly, I want to thank you for letting me use netherite. In my village, the most we could have to make weapons was iron. Still, although I had not worked with metal before, I'm sure my work will fascinate you," Maicol told me as he removed the cloth that protected the weapons.
And grabbing one, Maicol showed it, and at the same time, I saw my blood riders being attentive to avoid another scene like the previous one.
However, their concerns towards Maicol were in vain, as he carefully extended the arakh to me, being attentive not to accidentally cut himself.
The weapon he handed me, unlike the rudimentary arakh, did not have such a pronounced curvature, which did not make it look any less beautiful. With its double-handled handle lined in oil-colored black leather, along with its small gold-plated crosspiece and a thin line of gold that crossed the entire blade on both sides, the arakh was a beauty.
However, what stood out the most was its large, double-edged, black blade, with a characteristic smoky pattern, which made the arakh an heirloom.
After admiring the arakh, I offered it to Mottaekho, who took it with astonishment written on his face, while swinging it with great mastery, like a chef using a knife.
Nodding to the Dothraki warrior, I took the other seven Arakh and passed them to their new owner: "This is my gift; use it against the enemies we meet, as well as against anyone who dares to threaten me.".
Receiving a nod from everyone, I let them try out their new weapons, while I got to talking to Maicol.
"I see you took longer than I thought," I said, watching him get excited.
Maicol just waved his hand as if shooing away a fly, as he made his quickness clear: "Oh, no, my Khal, I had everything I needed in one place, so the time was short; mind you, if I had had help from capable hands, then I could have finished faster."
"Don't worry, you will have them, just not for now; there is still time to settle and prosper, something we cannot do in this place," I told him, making it clear that we would soon be moving. The truth was that I did not want to build any permanent settlement in this place, as we were not near any city, nor near any outlet to the sea, which made this location unsuitable for a city.
"Do you have any clear direction to go to, my Khal?" Maicol questioned me, and I did not know what to say to him.
I still didn't know where in Essos I was, whether near Pentos or the slave bay, or somewhere further inland in the Dothraki Sea, so I had to know where we were first to start putting my plans in motion.
"Where in Essos are we not to be found?" I asked Amanda, who thought a moment and answered me quickly, "We are south of Lhazar, near Yunkai and the Red Desert, my Khal."
Oh, so that made things much easier for me, especially if we were near Astapor. "Essino, how long would it take us to ride to Astapor?" I asked my blood rider, who was known to be one of the best scouts.
"My Khal, if we march in a straight line and without stopping until nightfall, we would arrive in about nine days," Essino answered me once he thought.
Nodding, I gave the order that would lead me to be known in this world: "Alright, then so be it; tomorrow we will begin our journey to Astapor; inform all the Khalasar so they know."
