I think a lot of these problems stem from us treating CreepCast like a business transaction instead of a coupleguysreadinsomestories. As much as I hate to say, CreepCast is a profitable business thingy now, not just a passion project. -reading fan stories turned the CC subreddits into a competition to get our stories read. -adding ->scheduled/uncensored<- bonus content to the patreon. HONESTLY, I think the promise of bonus content is the biggest issue. I just want to give my favorite podcast money for stamps. Though the interviews are kinda fire... -the guys are tynna monetize. We get it. We see this kind of community scenario with game devs, too. They have this fun little project that people love and want to support, but then money starts getting involved. All of a sudden, the passion project turns into stockbroking. When ya put a price tag on it, consumers expect a certain level of quality and consistency (5$ monthly is a lot for a college student still learning how to budget). Examples: -SCP: Secret Lab -BRM5 (update Oct. 30, let's fricking go) -Escape from Tarkov -The Cycle Frontier -BATTLEBIT REMASTERED What do you guys think?

Interviews are cool, but I'd personally like more crappypastas or grab bag episodes of random short stories. Can you guys upload to Patreon a little earlier? My highschool was nicknamed the “suicide school” because every 1-2 years someone would commit or die in a crazy way. It was also called the senior curse cause it was always a senior. In our town, we had a notorious sharp curve with a brick wall at the end of it. While I was attending, a guy I somewhat knew was driving home from a party and ended up smashing straight into and died. He was a senior, too. When covid hit in March 2020 and we got sent home, I was a senior by that time and everyone was speculating if the curse was going to skip us or if it would be worse since we were all stuck home in quarantine. Luckily it did skip us that time.

Haven’t started yet. I’ve disliked all of CK Walker’s stories thus far, and I think she’s just not a very good writer. They always start interesting, become boring by the middle, and devolve into absurdity by the end. Can't wait til they read the sequel where the main character comes back 12 years later to investigate the room and finds out the librarian was actually the one who pushed her friend out of the window and she has to use a oujia board to summon her spirit in the room while her current roommate gets possessed by the first girl that died, who is then exorcised by a local priest who became infatuated with the main character and loses focus at a critical moment because of it, which results in the main character using music (AC/DC) to finish the ritual and finally rid the school of spirits once and for all. I think this story was fine, but I also feel that this story, or one like it, would have triggered a minor crashout under different circumstances. I am not complaining mind you, it was a fun little episode. I do not agree with the guys when they say this author always brings it. Borrasca was fine, the rest of the stories I've read or heard from this author are either basically fine, like this one, or are Borrasca V. Might want to expand the search from stories away from repeat authors for a while, or look outside the nosleep corner of the internet. I did enjoy the episode they read a couple Ligotti stories. Also the goatman story from /x/ they read during the first live show tour was pretty good.

I really thought this story was so funny and had so much fun during this episode. I also know the story was silly but I honestly loved how silly it was. As a college student who would probably be a part of the paranormal club if we had one, I think it really felt like a spooky college rumor you would hear. You guys also added so much life to it with your reading. I literally cackled. This was one of my favorites and I really agree with her work being charming. The way C.K writes dialog fills the characters with personality that lets us get attached to them in a way that I love. :)

Always love a CK Walker story and its a rare instance where I know the story ahead of time. Really liked this one initially and more so now. Something I really love that she does is how she handles the more subtle abrupt tone shifts. In part 1 of Borassca for me it was the stale coffee and quiet murmurs quote after she laid the set up with the "it was the last truly happy moment I ever had" line. That really stamped the tone shift in my mind. And in this story after the twist the language becomes more somber and heavy, then for me the line that really makes this story more is the mentioning of the screams outside got louder as people saw what remained of her friend on the cold pavement. That line leaves so much to our imagination. CK is so good, love her writing so much! Also the line "I hear her wildly pounding heart, desperately trying to race through every beat of the life she should have lived, and knowing it has only mere seconds." Is incredible. Great episode! Lot of fun as always, thank you for all yall do. Hoping one day you two can talk to CK Walker. Would be such an interesting conversation.
