Hey everyone,
As I speak, the Early Build version for Superheroes Suck 1.750 is now uploading!
Seven events is the final total. I would normally be upset about this, but given that this development cycle included the computer upgrade, changed to my work flow, and even the holidays, I think I can come to terms with this one.
Still, that doesn't mean that the amount of content is small. Actually, it's quite odd. This update has a mix of small events and also very large ones. There are no "medium" sized chunks of content this time around, and I think that's because of all the things I was attempting to do. New environments, different looks for existing characters, and old pieces that I couldn't use again until the computer was upgraded. I'm quite proud of how it turned out, and the whole process makes me feel hopeful for upcoming content releases.
For me, the most important thing about this update is that... I'm not exhausted.
For the past year or so, every update has left me drained in a way that's difficult to describe. It's not a physical fatigue, just a kind of mental fog that crushes my ability to create. It's been tradition that, after every update, I take the following Monday and Tuesday off to focus on bug-fixing and otherwise relieve stress. This time around, I feel like jumping back into the content creation, which is an excellent feeling. Time will tell whether or not it results in the quantity and quality of work I'm expecting going forward.
