Hey everyone,
I've finished setting up the foundation for the patrol events that will begin development tomorrow! Patrols events are always a difficult one to gauge, because while some are shorter than others, no patrol event has ever been "short." They're usually the size of two regular events combined. With three weeks left in development, I am aiming to get three of these patrols events finished before the release along with the H-scene poll winner. That's going to be quite a task, but I'm confident that I can see it done.
Aside from the mountain of work I'm about to climb, development for Version 1.050 has been going smoothly, minus a power outage that took place a few days ago. I made up the time over the weekend, and so far everything has been stable!

Solace, will progress on the main story stop completely during the sandbox overhaul?
Yes and no.
Main story progress will be halted while I make improvements to Superheroes Suck's sandbox in the future Version 1.25 update (roadmap on the Discord). The game was always designed to be supported by sandbox interactivity, and I would like to flesh that area of the game. One of the reasons for this is main story content: Josie and Miranda's romances are dependent on the sandbox overhaul. Sumire, to a lesser extent, also falls into this line. Really, every romantic interest that isn't in the Academy needs an improved sandbox to logically progress. Right now, many of these interactions are initiated via a text message or phone call in-game that immediately starts an event. During this early part of their relationship, I think this is fine, but eventually the protagonist should start to take some initiative and visit them on his own. For that to work, I need a more fleshed out sandbox experience with a few more features.
That said, for those worried that Superheroes Suck might become too "sandboxy," my primary goal with the overhaul is content. It's not that I want to completely rebuild Superheroes Suck from the ground up, but that I want to fill the content gaps where the sandbox should be. Exercising, studying, night scene - these should all have more content, for example.
