Restoring a vintage toy piano

If you’re interested in experimenting with adjusting the tuning, I discovered that it’s possible to do so by adding a little solder to the tips of the rods: https://rudigermeyer.com/notes/2019-01-12-16-26-35

Well, it sounds very nice! I bet the clacky sound was terrible. Interesting choice of colour by the way :-)

It was horribly clacky, as all old felts were rotted away. The previous owner had already taken them off, but did apparently not go through with repairs.

Nice video. The pink/purple felt wasn't originally there. Was there anything similar like that before or did you add it to improve the sound?
