Should I post all artwork in a patron exclusive Discord server?

This would also mean that I'd really only post announcements on Patreon, art would only be archived on the Discord. I know other artists do this but let me know if y'all would like me to start doing this next month.

that sounds the most usable...if you have the cloud storage space available

I think Dropbox would be a better alternative for archiving personally, discord servers aren’t rlly any better for archiving than Patreon is

What if things weren't hosted locally on the server but instead linked to my dropbox where files are organized accordingly? Y'know, by year, month, etc.

from my experience with other artists limitting their postings mostly to discord... discord isnt more comfortable than patreon for digging through old posts. lacking tags and timeframe selection, resulting in endless scrolling and trying to find what you're looking for makes it rather unusable for such purposes.

Definitely! Pretty sure Patreon stores all data older than >1 month on a tape drive ;) SLOOOOW!

Perhaps you should create a channel that has your artwork, but no one can post messages on it. Could be another channel for that. That way, everyone can access the artwork gallery, without searching for it from the public messages.
