I went to high school in Korea for about 2 years so I feel like I can answer some of your questions! Yes, fights are way more common than in the US (the education/socio-economic system puts kids under a lot of stress). And because these fights in schools are more normalized, adults/law enforcement take it less seriously. In general, there is more of a hierarchy in everything, including academics, sports, and fighting. Most schools have students who are known to be the top fighter and you shouldn't mess with them. Not even necessarily because they are good fighters, but just because people don't want any trouble. It is important to mention that although school fights/gangs are more common than the US, it doesn't mean very extreme incidents are common. Of course, there are serious cases that happen occasionally, but they are just as frequent as the US. The only difference is that the US has school shootings rather than extreme bullying.

Since you guys love the intro song so much, there's 2 bands I think you'd enjoy called Hyukoh & Se So Neon. These two bands are GOLDEN. Check out The Wave by Se So Neon.
