"Eldrich" (pronounced like stitch, should be spelled eldritch) is an old word for mysterious/uncanny/supernatural. 😉 And I have tattoos...that little 001 right over the wrist tendons? "Not so bad......"?!!! It would have been bloody agony! That's a really crap spot to get your 1st ink, trust me. Will's words to Mike in the van, he wasn't just talking about El. Will loves Mike, has realised he's in love with him. As a kid in the mid 80s that realisation must have terrified him. It kind of goes over Mike's head, but Jonathan gets it.

1. I still think Eddie's death was unnecessary. I get why he did it, guilt over Chrissy, but I still think he didn't need to turn back. 2. Man, I think Lucas and Max's relationship is the strongest of the series. I kept getting so upset thinking we're losing Max. I hope it's just a matter of El needing to go back inside her head and find her or once they defeat Vecna, maybe Max's soul (?) will be released. 3. I cry every time he has that talk. I love that he gave him closure and that they could actually give him something unlike with Barbara who had to stay as missing, even to her parents. Eddie deserved to have his heroism known and his uncle given that closure. I'm so glad Uncle got to know at least someone cared for and stood with Eddie despite the whole town being out for blood.

Ep 8 Comment: Not only did he not get "I understand" but he also didn't die on camera. 🤔 Update: So maybe he did, although you never know if he's really dead or not. it wasn't really abrupt he could've just "moved that way" to relax.

The finale just hits you in all the feels and they keep coming especially the 3 moments that stick out to me 1: Eddie death such a sad moment just sucked losing him great acting by Joseph Quinn and Gaten plus Eddie saying “I love you” to Dustin was not in the script it was improvised glad they kept it in added even more to such a sad scene 2: Everything involving Lucas and Max during Max near death experience Caleb and Sadie acted their asses off and it gets you and doesnt let go and with Max being my favorite in the group when I 1st seen this scene and I thought we were losing Max that scene hit me hard in the feels 3: Dustin giving Eddie’s Uncle closure such a underrated scene that doesn’t get talked about enough you have the grieving Uncle dealing with the community thinking his nephew was evil and dealing with the vandalized missing posters and Dustin comes in the clutch and confirms to Eddie’s Uncle what he knew that his nephew was a good person and relief the character must have felt to know there was somebody who knows that Eddie was good

I remember seeing Metallica wearing the Hellfire Club shirts on stage and even brought out Joseph Quinn at a concert. Also the guitar Eddie had in the show, Jo wanted to keep in real life, the didn't let him. Metallica recreated the guitar and all signed it for him. "MOST METAL EVER!"~ Dustin

Such a great finale and my expectations are HIGH for the final season. They had a decade to churn out only 42 episodes, so the showrunners have no excuses. Plus, they had 3 years for their final season to not follow in GOT's footsteps. I love the soundtrack of the overall show, but that Journey remix is amazing! Separate ways is already my favorite Journey song but that remix brought it to a whole new level! I still remember Oak getting excited the first time he heard it on his reaction with Dave. Also, I am happy to never see Argyle again. I hated that character (except for the pineapple pizza bit) so I don't know if they are recasting the character or not, I just know the actor isn't returning. But I skip his scenes every rewatch.

A thing that is hard to catch the first couple times watching, the very last thing Hopper says to Eleven in season 3 in the mall is, "I need you to understand." The same exact thing Papa says in their final moments here. Both of her father figures. When Hopper says it...she says yes. When Papa says it... while she contemplates it for a moment, she gives him a goodbye but nothing more. I think that speaks volumes about who she feels her real father is.

Those scenes where Moby’s ”When it’s cold I’d like to die” is so damn emotional, Eddie dying, Max ”dying”, Lucas yelling ”Erica help” 😭

So many great performances in these episodes. I know the final season will be action packed, but I really hope they make room for a few moments for Will to at least meet a wonderful young guy who could be a potential partner for him. Mike pouring his heart out to El was so moving. How he loved her since the first time he saw her in that oversized Benny’s t shirt, and how he doesn’t know how he’d live without her. Another beautifully performed scene. Really powerful episodes. Max and Lucas nearly broke my heart. 💔 Sadie Sink has been amazing this season. So excited for season 5, but I also dread the day this amazing show is over.
