Dr. Jonathan Crane, MD - Entry 021
🕑 Added 2017-10-30 14:00:02 +0000 UTC CRANE: ENTRY 021EDWARD: The Elliot family crypt. It's a little late for the lights to be on. (opens and closes the door) Stairs. There's always stairs. (hobbles down the steps)
EDWARD: You won't get out of this alive, you know.
CRANE: Edward.
ELLIOT: That remains to be seen. Now, if you'll excuse me.
CRANE: (hobbles down to the bottom of the steps, approaches EDWARD) Psst. Nygma!
EDWARD: What - back for more ridicule, Thomas? ... Jonathan? How did you find me?
CRANE: I had a little help from your friends.
EDWARD: Friends?
CRANE: Or, as you so eloquently refer to them: your doting ignorami.
EDWARD: Oh, of course! Well what are you waiting for, come untie me!
CRANE: (laughs)
EDWARD: And what is so funny?
CRANE: It's just so obvious now. (draws a gun)
EDWARD: Wait - Jonathan, don't!
CRANE: (fires, EDWARD collapses, pause) You just aren't that good, Karlo.
KARLO: Hm. You may be right. The Edward needs work. (transforms into himself) But from the GCPD has been saying, (transforms into Crane) my Crane is a real show-stopper.
CRANE: (lunges at KARLO, they fight) I can't let you outta here, Karlo.
KARLO: And just how could YOU stop me?
CRANE: (fires three times)
KARLO: Bullets, Jonathan? You need to do better than that.
CRANE: Oh, these aren't bullets. They're pellets. Of pure, solid-state fear toxin. Too fragile to penetrate human skin, but clay? That's just perfect. Slowly, those pellets will mix with your clay, filling you to the brim with fear.
KARLO: It won't have the chance, you fool. I can separate myself from the pellets with more than enough time to spare.
CRANE: I figured you might say that. Which is why I brought - this.
KARLO: What's that? More toxin?
CRANE: Oh, this? No, no, no. This is just a run-of-the-mill - flamethrower.
KARLO: NO!
CRANE: (torches KARLO)
KARLO NO! PLEASE! JONATHAN, NOO! AARRGH!
CRANE: (chuckles as he finishes torching KARLO to a crisp) Enjoy your fear prison, Clayboy. Now where the hell is Elliot hiding? (is knocked out)
ELLIOT: I think he's right behind you, Dr. Crane.
