Dr. Jonathan Crane, MD - Entry 016
🕑 Added 2017-10-29 17:00:01 +0000 UTC CRANE: ENTRY 016CRANE: There’s no two ways around it – this leg is broken. Fibula – compound fracture. Now those of you with a more… squeamish constitution, should probably stop listening as I will be recording my treatment for future reference. Now then. I have already cleaned the affected area, and despite the bone breaking the skin, everything looks pretty clean and straightforward. Now I need to pull the bone back inside so that it realigns. To do this, I have tied a rope around my ankle, which I then looped around a radiator pipe. Now whatever you choose to loop around, make sure it’s bolted to the wall – you’ll be giving it a hell of a pull and you don’t want to do this twice. Alright. Now I need to – PULL (crick as the bone realigns)! AH! JESUS H.! (grunts, pants) Alright. Bone’s back inside. Gonna wrap it up some to stop the bleeding and – oh, there. Now I have a walking splint here; hoped I’d never have to use it. But if you don’t have one, two strong pieces of wood will do you fine. Ahh… (clips close on the splint) Okay. Okay. I never wanna do that again. Let’s never do that again. Okay. A few people have been asking exactly what happened on Monday night. To be honest, I can’t recall a whole lot. I got thrown a good twenty or thirty feet; rolled myself into a ditch. Been a long time since I slept in the dirt; I reckon I lost a whole day in that mud. I didn’t know how bad the leg was until I tried to walk on it, about midnight. I would’ve stayed off it were it not for the police. If I don’t have time for the hospital, I don’t have time for the GCPD. Speaking of time, I’ll have notes on this riddle soon as I’m able to properly sit with it. Logged as Entry Crane 016.
The Seventh Riddle:
"Bent, broken, crooked -
here you'll be brought.
Fleeing a shackle?
It's me you'll have sought."
