The Riddler Speaks - Casefile #0124
🕑 Added 2017-10-26 16:00:01 +0000 UTC TRS - Casefile #0124: ExeuntLEX LUTHOR: I don't care! You FIND him, and bring him to me!
EDWARD: Oh, I hope he means me.
LEX LUTHOR: YOU. Do you have ANY idea what you've done?
EDWARD: Ohoho, you have NO idea!
LEX LUTHOR: You killed my top man in nanotechnology! The BACKBONE of the Brainiac Resistance Program!
EDWARD: And his wife too, but I don't think you care about that. I wonder if couple's coffins are still a thing?
LEX LUTHOR: Such bravado for a neutered dog. Or have you forgotten your place?
EDWARD: (laughs) Oh that old thing? I got that removed. No more reins to hold, I'm afraid. The balls, such as they are, are back in Eddie's court.
LEX LUTHOR: I never had you pegged for the gun type.
EDWARD: You know, in a perfect world, I'd have a go at you with my cane. But I can't find it for the life of me. (chuckles) Must have slipped my mind.(laughs)
(EDWARD shoots LEX LUTHOR, injuring him)
EDWARD: My God! You DO bleed! Not as blue as I was hoping for, but beggars can't be choosers.
LEX LUTHOR: What do you want?
EDWARD: I'm going home.
LEX LUTHOR: Fine.
EDWARD: I don't want you to follow me.
LEX LUTHOR: Fine.
EDWARD: And this little contract is broken; but the bank account stays.
LEX LUTHOR: ... Fine.
EDWARD: (claps his hands together) Well then. I think that's all the business of the day settled.
LEX LUTHOR: So what now? If you kill me, there will be hundreds, THOUSANDS out for your head.
EDWARD: Kill you? (chuckles) Oh no, no, no, no, no, no. For YOU, my dear Lex, I have something MUCH better.
LEX LUTHOR: What have you done?
JOKER: (over intercom) Testing! Testing! Is this thing on? (laughs)
LEX LUTHOR: No.
EDWARD: Oh, oh yes.
JOKER: Ladies and gentlemen! Boys and girls and everything in between! Joker's back! And he's ready to bring the funny! (laughs) A big thank you to Eddie baby for breakin' me out of this hoosegow. We're square now, Ed. So run along, before I change my mind.
EDWARD: Oop, that's my cue. It's been swell, Luthor, but Gotham is calling my name and I hate to keep her waiting.
(JOKER laughing)
LEX LUTHOR: This ISN'T the end! This isn't over!
EDWARD: Oh, I hope not.
