The Riddler Speaks - Casefile #0122
🕑 Added 2017-10-26 14:00:01 +0000 UTC TRS - Casefile #0122: DealEDWARD: (outside) Hm. Surprisingly cosy, given the circumstances. (knocks on a heavy door) We had an appointment. Open the door.
(Door opens. EDWARD enters the building)
EDWARD: Much better. Well, this is less cosy. Evening Ma'am, you're looking frigid. (laughs) Ahh, the good doctor himself.
VICTOR FRIES: What do you want, Edward Nygma?
EDWARD: My, what a lovely home you have. I just adore the - accoutrements.
VICTOR FRIES: My patience grows thin.
EDWARD: There's a joke to be made, there. But we can just skate over it. I propose an alliance, albeit a brief one, where you give me what I want, and I give you what you want.
VICTOR FRIES: And what could you possibly have that I would want?
EDWARD: Oh, nothing I'm sure. I just hear Huntington's is bad, this time of year.
(FRIES grabs hold of EDWARD's throat)
VICTOR FRIES: You do not speak of Nora. You never speak of Nora - you have not earned the right.
EDWARD: (gasping) I - could - help - her -
VICTOR FRIES: You are a liar.
EDWARD: (gasping) It's true. Please. (inhales as VICTOR lets go) LexCorp put a tumour in my head.
VICTOR FRIES: That is not my concern.
EDWARD: But it's not - just any tumour. It's a nanotumour. They said it could repair brain matter. It could - it could save Nora.
VICTOR FRIES: And what do you want for this tumour?
EDWARD: Nothing. I just want it out.
VICTOR FRIES: The deal is made.
EDWARD: Well I'm glad we could - oh!
(VICTOR knocks out EDWARD)
