The extension is compatible with chromium browsers (Opera, Opera GX, Brave, Vivaldi, Chrome, MS Edge) and Firefox (developer and Nightly versions only). The extension can work on Android with browsers that allow loading extensions via zip like Kiwi Browser.
Is there a version for Iphone?
No. Apple's policies do not allow the loading of external extensions or browsers that allow it.
Why does the Firefox version only works in Firefox Dev/Nightly?
Mozilla's fault. Mozilla refuses to allow loading of external extensions in stable and beta versions (only allows a temporary test mode where the extension is lost when closing the browser). You need the Dev/Nightly version and follow the installation guide here. (Recommend the dev version, which is essentially a beta version with extra features.)

No! You will keep that current version you downloaded forever! But in order to download new versions you will need access to the download post mentioned above, which is only accessible to backers.

The Android application is a different system. It is not as flexible for modifications at this level, and it would have to be redone and redesigned entirely for the app. Considering that we are talking about a modded APK, the character.ai team could potentially detect if it is an official APK or not and impose bans or deny access (as you need to log in with your account). It would be too much work (and future maintenance as a separate third version) for both the user and the risk of blocking such efforts. I'm sorry, but there are no plans to support the app, especially when the website has a mobile version adapted for phones. But a middle ground can be reached, especially if we focus on the opposite direction. If there are any features from the mobile application that are missed on the website, they can be suggested for implementation in the extension.

Hey do you think there'll ever be a version of the memory manager for the android app of Character AI? I know it won't be possible for apple due to restrictions; but I've seen a few mods for apps on andriod that use a file type that you download? Not a huge IT guy so it might no be possible; but let me know! Fingers crossed there will be!

I love the update that gives us the ability to inject individual memories rather than the whole lot. It means I can give the bot reminders about whatever is relevant to the situation without it going on a tangent about another thing. ALSO you can use an individual injection to *hint" what sort of route you want the AI to take without having to say it explicitly in the RP
Hey, thanks for this much needed tool! I just wanted to make a suggestion from using it. Would it be possible to have the memories in folders or categories? I think it would make it a bit easier to manage the memories if we were able to put them in folders, and imo it would look nicer. Just a suggestion and once again, i appreciate the work you've put into this tool. Thanks

You can always try the memories in a new chat out. You can save your chat and then get back to the old chat if you are done with testing.

Of course, if you look at the guides here the first memory box is usually used for physical information about the character. If you write there that your character or the bot has cat ears, the bot will not forget it.

Hi, I am super excited to try this out. I'm wondering if I could add information about the character itself to its 'memories', for example it keeps forgetting that it wears cat ears. Could I add that as one of its memories? Thanks!

I just got the extension on firefox, thank you so much for the tutorial and making it available for us! I hope to get used to it fast but it's already quite fun. I hope you continue to develop it and many others in the future ^^!

would it be possible to do some sort of tutorial on how to use the extension most effectively? I'm not at all savvy and i'm having trouble figuring it out. Do I have to manually select what to save as a memory? How many memories can i save at one time? Do I have to go back and manually add/ update saved memories if extra details appear as I chat?
