Xiao Yi followed Shao Cheng with confusion and arrived at a high point on Tianyu Peak. From this vantage, she could see the entire area below clearly. Standing here, she had a complete view of Tianyu Peak’s main sections.
She could see the large tree in the open area in front of the entrance.
From a few miles away, as a cultivator, Xiao Yi could clearly see her Second Senior Brother, Lu Shaoqing, lounging on a hammock.
Little Hong was lying on Lu Shaoqing’s head, motionless, appearing to be asleep.
Seeing Lu Shaoqing’s relaxed demeanor, Xiao Yi gritted her teeth in frustration.
That troublesome Second Senior Brother.
At the same time, Xiao Yi was puzzled. “Master, why did you bring me here?”
Shao Cheng pointed below and smiled. “Look over there.”
Below was the entire Tianyu Peak, with many areas still empty.
Xiao Yi stared for a while but couldn’t discern anything noteworthy.
It all seemed dark and unimpressive.
Xiao Yi still didn’t understand Shao Cheng’s intention.
She had been here before and had already seen the view below.
Seeing Xiao Yi’s continued confusion, Shao Cheng pointed to another location and said, “Look there.”
Finally, to the right, Xiao Yi saw an unforgettable sight.
A dragon, a white dragon, was dancing in the air, partially obscured by the clouds.
It was like a divine dragon descending to the world, a breathtaking sight.
“B-Big Brother?”
Xiao Yi was stunned.
So, Master wanted her to see Big Brother’s cultivation?
The dragon she saw was familiar.
When she first entered the Sword Cave, she was bullied by a small white dragon.
The little white dragon that bullied her and this dragon were identical, except for their size—one small, one large.
The sword intent had taken shape.
Xiao Yi’s eyes widened in awe. It was incredible.
Although the sword intent had transformed into a white dragon, it gave off no discernible aura.
If Shao Cheng hadn’t pointed it out, Xiao Yi might not have noticed it for a while.
After watching for a while, Xiao Yi exclaimed, “Big Brother is truly amazing.”
To be able to control the sword intent in such a way.
Shao Cheng smiled slightly and then pointed to where Lu Shaoqing was and asked, “Now, take another look at your Second Senior Brother.”
As soon as Lu Shaoqing was mentioned, Xiao Yi’s expression soured.
That annoying Second Senior Brother, who made her work to repay a debt.
Xiao Yi looked for a while but didn’t notice anything.
She said, “Master, there’s nothing special about Second Senior Brother. He’s just slacking off.”
“Compared to Big Brother, Second Senior Brother is so far behind.”
One is diligently cultivating, while the other is idly lounging—two extremes.
Xiao Yi seemed to understand, “Master, you brought me here to show me not to follow Second Senior Brother’s example?”
“Can I stop listening to Second Senior Brother now?”
It would be great not to have to work at the restaurant and endure all those grievances.
At worst, she could have her family send some spirit stones to repay Boss Fang.
Shao Cheng shook his head and asked Xiao Yi, “Do you know how they became my disciples?”
Xiao Yi replied, “Second Senior Brother said that Master, back then, was not strong and no one wanted to take you as a disciple.”
Shao Cheng, upon hearing this, huffed in indignation.
“Did he really say that?”
“What else did he say?”
“That scoundrel.”
Xiao Yi shrank back and said, “He also said that Big Brother was just a mortal at that time and was incredibly arrogant. After being beaten, Master saved him and then made him a disciple.”
Shao Cheng said angrily, “What a scoundrel.”
“Isn’t it true?”
Shao Cheng replied, “Of course not.”
Xiao Yi blinked, looking at Shao Cheng.
“When your Big Brother came to become a disciple, no one wanted to take him in because he was already eleven years old and still a mortal.”
“Such an age meant that cultivation would be slower and more difficult, with less potential for future achievements.”
“I saw his steady and determined character and decided to give him a chance by taking him as my eldest disciple.”
Shao Cheng then sighed in admiration. “I didn’t expect that taking him in would bring the best disciple ever to Tianyu Peak.”
“Exceptionally talented, diligent, earnest, and fearless—a true genius. He’s the best disciple I’ve ever taken in.”
Xiao Yi felt a pang of sympathy and then frustration.
“So Second Senior Brother was lying to me.”
I was indeed too naive.
“Master, what about Second Senior Brother? How did you take him in as a disciple?”
Shao Cheng responded, “Did he tell you how he became my disciple?”
Xiao Yi said, “He said you begged him to take him as a disciple.”
“That scoundrel!”
Shao Cheng was infuriated, feeling a strong urge to go down and confront Lu Shaoqing.
“To tarnish my reputation in front of my junior disciple like this, does he have no shame?”
Xiao Yi asked cautiously, “Master, that can’t be true, right?”
“Of course not,” Shao Cheng said with a hint of irritation. “Back then, your Big Brother was disliked and beaten. It was only because he stood up to help your Big Brother that he became my disciple.”
“Later, when I offered to take in your Big Brother as a disciple, he insisted that I also take in your Second Senior Brother, or he wouldn’t agree to be my disciple.”
“That’s why I accepted him.”
“Otherwise, who would want that little troublemaker?”
As he spoke, Shao Cheng placed a hand over his chest, looking pained.
“You have no idea how much trouble that little scoundrel caused me after he joined.”
“Back when your ancestors were still around, Tianyu Peak was recognized and praised at the sect’s grand meeting.”
“Tianyu Peak was a model of the Lingxiao Sect.”
“After your Second Senior Brother joined, however, the sect meetings started to criticize us more often.”
“My old face has been thoroughly embarrassed. The entire Lingxiao Sect knows that Tianyu Peak has a lazy bum.”
“If it weren’t for your Big Brother holding things up here, I would have been too embarrassed to stay in the Lingxiao Sect.”
Seeing Shao Cheng’s pained expression, Xiao Yi felt a sense of relief.
Compared to herself, Master was the true victim of the Second Senior Brother’s misdeeds.
In comparison, her own troubles seemed minor.
Xiao Yi asked, “Master, did you bring me here to tell me not to be too angry?”
“Is Second Senior Brother always like this?”
“Well, not exactly for that reason…”
