The EFC isnt a big deal, they'll still refer to her as Ensign. I don't think its mentioned again. As for the Tasha problem, we'll find out in a few episodes.

I said this before the reupload but ensign first class is not a rank in starfleet but could mirror yar be a solution to the tasha problem
