Arc 9 Draft: 85k words
I know the weeks with only one chapter update are a bit slow, so I appreciate all your patience. This time allows me to get stuff done behind the scenes. Next week is a 3-chapter week, so I won't get much new stuff done; we'll be getting the conclusion of both Rogue Arc 7 and Meteor Freak Season 1.
Arc 8 needs another two chapters or so, but good news, Arc 9 is pretty much drafted. It's a shorter arc, intentionally, only 8 or 9 chapters. I can't complete the last chapter of Arc 9 until after I finish the Arc 8 finale because they're loosely tied together. The Arc 9 Preview Post will come out this Friday for Ascended. It's a little early, but this week was slow, next week is crowded, and I don't want to spam you with posts.

Second Draft: 110k words
This and Arc 9 are where most of the work has been going. I think the first draft was around 90k words. I've gotten through 15/19 of the chapters for the second pass, and after I finish, it'll need a third pass to clean up everything nicely. But that should be mostly prose; all the stats, scene additions, and consistency should be done after this pass.
Still need to make a worthy cover.

Since it worked out, he'll mostly let Felicia slide. There are plenty of other things to worry about going forward, but Felicia isnt really one of them. Her gamble worked out, she and House of M came out stronger for it. Next chapter gives a more complete picture of the ending, I don't let some of those threads hang past the end of this Arc. But as always, there's setup for what happens in early Arcs 8, and 10 is mostly hinted at already.

Thank you for the update. The conversation with Sinister was rather enlightening in plenty of ways. I wonder how much Tyson is willing to sacrifice his morals to protect his loved ones. If he goes to far, they may either leave or perhaps be forced to fight him. Not to mention fighting against whatever price is paid or possible corruption. I wonder how Tyson plans to punish the naughty thief. He could have for a split second thought he once again failed to save a woman he loves.
