Devlog #047
🕑 Added 2024-11-03 23:02:06 +0000 UTCHello everyone!
We are back for another month with another devlog full of news and various updates.
Writing
The episode script exceeds 10k words. This month will be completely closed if it doesn't come up with some unexpected setback.
On another note, we have finished preparing the Witch Tales documents for a second, more professional translation of the first story. We expect to send it for translation very soon since we have everything we need to do so. The release of the updated demo is taking much longer than we would like, but we can't do much more. On the other hand, we are still working on the second one to finish correcting it. As you know it has been in the engine for some time and we have already reached half of the correction.
Art
We are still working on the CGs of the next patch. Our second CG is already in the process of coloring, after which, only the Kyeran one will be left. We don't plan to add more sprites, nor scenery, so, we can say that we are close to finish the artwork for chapter 12.2.
This past month we have also been working on a rebranding of the studio's branding which still has some work to be done. Mainly translating the logo to different formats (color stain, etc.), as well as finishing the style guide including fonts, colors and so on. At the moment, this is not a priority for us, but we will see how we can fit it into our production schedule. Also, when we have completed the whole process definitively, you will be the first to be informed with an extended publication where we will tell you everything in depth.
Surely, after finishing the CGs, we will finish the alternative versions of Opal with different clothes in the CG that we already presented you some time ago [this]. Although we are also considering finishing some special icons for the artbook, since we would like to put it on sale this December. We will see how we progress with the episode first.
Programming
We have started to program some things, like the new object that can be unlocked for the decoration mini-game or Akane's CG that is already inside the engine.
We hope that very soon we will be starting to assemble the whole script.
Other
We see more viable to finish the artbook and put it into circulation in December, than to bring steam forward in a short period of time, so, our efforts will go to finish this. Closing this stage is a great achievement for us and we thank you again for being with us during this time.
This would be all. Best regards and take care of yourselves.
