Greetings everybody!
Believe it or not, we are already in the last month of the year. A time to look back on what we have achieved this year and what we are planning for next year. All in all, we're pretty proud to have made it to patch number 20, which is no mean feat. We are also starting to see some of our stalled projects such as the artbook and Witch Tales coming to a halt, which gives us the foresight to showcase new exclusive projects for next year.
- Writing
If you have been paying attention to the last few posts, you will already know that the script has been closed for several weeks. Although it didn't go into translation until the 25th. As this chapter is a bit longer than usual, it will be in this phase for 20 days. Until then, and since we've managed to move forward with the programming in a fairly consistent way, we'll be doing some more work on the Witch Tales scripts.
Later this month we will publish dates and, most likely, patch 11.2 - if not, it will be out by January at the latest. After that, we'll be back with the skeleton and the script for chapter 11.3, as usual for us.
- Art
Arts has also finished with everything that corresponds to the patch (sprites, backgrounds, cgs, objects, etc...). And right now were working on the game's cover art. Something we've been postponing in the calendar due to lack of free slots.
Before we start with the new episode (11.3) we would also like to give a push to one of the Witch Tales backgrounds. It will depend on how much time we use up until launch in the process of the cover art and the patreon comic.
If you want to know what we've got planned for the next patch... We're anticipating a bit of a 'beachy' chapter, what do you think? Who's looking forward to seeing our boys splashing around in the water?
- Programming
The chapter is fully programmed, pending translation. We do expect to invest some time to continue working and polishing the drag and drop. We already told you that the base is functional, but the design needs some strong improvements and we will have to start planting seeds in the script to unlock different backgrounds and objects.
- Other
We continue to work and invest effort in creating a reinforcement plan for our social networks. We are taking this more seriously than ever, because we have realised how terribly dependent we were on Twitter. This has left us quite shaken after the changes in the algorithms and the way the platform works. We want to focus mainly on improving tumblr and polishing our Tiktok content, but we'd also like to be a bit more consistent on instagram, even though things are getting a bit tricky for this platform as well.
For the moment, that would be all, close and polish things until the launch and start with the new patch as soon as it's released. For anything else, you know where to find us and... Merry Christmas in advance!
