Devlog #035

Hello everybody!
Welcome to the November devlog. We're here to take a quick look at what we have planned for November and to outline the plan we have in mind for the production of Chronicles.
- Writing
We're finishing with the script of the episode, which is currently over 12k words. During this month we'll finish writing and correction, as there are three scenes left, two of them outgoing which correspond to Maske and Akane's final scenes. Our forecast is that it will go into translation this month. It isn't implausible for this to happen around the middle of the month.
As for Witch Tales: Bone and Porcelain, it has moved up in gaps to 22k words. This means that it is also slowly approaching its end.
- Art
Maske's CG will be available very soon, which means that Kyeran's and Akane's will still be left. Kyeran's being the first in the queue. There are also a couple of details that have been added to the list. The first one is going to be an item that can be unlocked in the decoration mini-game. A gift that Kyeran can give you during the episode. While we don't want to be misleading as we plan to make this mini-game available only in patch 12.1, this item will already be available during the production of the episode. Also, there is another secondary character who will be getting a costume change - anyone care to speculate who it will be?
During the last month we have also released some 3D prototypes that can be used for future revamps of the Witch Tales: Between the Seams backgrounds. Specifically the backgrounds corresponding to: The kitchen, Arachne's sewing room and Opal's room. But we won't start working actively until we can completely finish episode 11.2, so our efforts will continue to be focused on producing the next patch.
- Programming
This month we'll start programming the base of the script on the engine. As usual, incorporating those missing arts at the pace that they are finished cooking. However, if everything goes according to plan this month we could set a release date and estimate of the next patch.
- Other
We have been a bit worried about social media these past few months. Many of our colleagues, like us, have seen how our main promotion platform (Twitter) has stopped working optimally. The reach is lower and many of the users have decided to migrate to other social networks. Our jump to Tiktok is being a very abrupt change, as well as trying to find our niche back on tumblr. Promotion and social media management has never been our forte, but we know these are areas we need to keep working on. We are keeping a steady queue on TikTok and will be planning new strategies to boost both tumblr and instagram.
So much for our monthly review. We say goodbye, but not before wishing you a good month and reminding you that our suggestion box is always open to hear anything you want to tell us.
