Hello everyone!
We're back with another devlog loaded with innovations and work forecasts for August. Are you ready?
- Writing
The chapter is currently under correction and very soon it will go into translation. It has almost 13k words. It has already been placed on the engine, so all that's left is a last revision that we'll do over the next week. From this point on we'll announce the name of the next episode on networks and focus on scheduling.
After it goes into the translation phase, we'll pick up part of the WT script, as we'll have more time, at least, from this part of the team. The second story has 17k words which would equate to about 3/4 of this new story. It doesn't have any art yet and there would be a lot of visual tweaks left from the first story, but we want to make it clear that it's important for us to keep moving forward with this support game.
- Art
We have made a lot of progress in the last weeks, the second CG (Zihel) is already in the coloring phase. As you may have noticed, there are already two CGs a bit more bloody than usual, we promise you that the last one will not contain any kind of sensitive content. Apart from the CG Pin, there is still a revamp of Nova's sprite and a shadow. We're starting to see the light!
We'll also be working on the monthly Patreon comic and moving forward with the meme you voted for our social networks, which was tied between three of the options, the team has decided that among those three options the one we find most interesting is the Zihel and Hasiel (Twilight) one. You can check the options in this poll and very soon we will open another one with new memes.
- Programming
Active programming of the episode has begun. The script is already inside the engine, as well as the new sprite of Pin, Zihel and Ariel, the CG of Ariel and the remodeled background of the church. The expressions, backgrounds and other elements are still to be added, but all the resources are already in the galleries available for use.
We've noticed a possible inconvenience that all the 11. We'll add specific instructions so that no one has problems with the new patch. We're very sorry if this causes conflicts. We didn't take into account that after chapter 10 we would have to create new divergences in the output to resume the system of separate routes.
During this month we'll work on introducing the sprites of the characters and the new arts that we get.
- Other
We are actively working on creating content for tiktok. At least, a small base of videos to be able to publish with some regularity when we officially open this social network. Although it's something we've been putting off, we will try to work on some kind of trailer for the game. We make no promises that this will come out during this month, but significant progress is being made. We are also getting to grips with recording art in real time with the drawing editor tools.
We told you about the team meeting last month. Although we are actively working on our projects, the team is offshore and working remotely, so meeting each other is something we are very happy about. It helps us with communication and focus on projects. It's a pity we can't do it more often and not once or twice a year.
So much for the devlog, take care and see you next month.
