Devlog #022
🕑 Added 2022-10-02 10:00:05 +0000 UTC
Hello everyone and happy Halloween.
We're back with a new devlog after the release of the latest patch. If you have played it, we hope you liked it. We are already immersed in the production of the next episode, but before we get into it, we have some bad news. Our colleague Val, in charge of the English translations, has left the team due to incompatibility with her job. This is a big setback for us. However, due to the importance of all this, we' ve decided to tell you about it soon in a special post for all our Patreon members.
This post will be published next week and we'll make it very clear how we see the situation. For the time being, the important thing is to send a message of reassurance that the CHR is still in production and that chapter 10.0 will be released.
- Writing
For the moment, chapter 10.0 will cover all three routes, which means it will be a converging chapter just before starting the third and final arc of CHR. We'll explore the mysterious area of the galleries, a remote place from which one can rarely escape. It may be a good time for the protagonist to reflect on his relationships, their priorities and to get to know the reality of the mutants, a most strange and feared creature. So far we are 30% developed and we hope to continue this part of the work at a good pace.
As we've already mentioned, this month we'll be opening applications to find someone to take on translations. We hope to be able to find someone and bring them on board as we go along.
- Art
Now we are trying to move forward with the cover of the game, which we don't know if it will be finished by the time we resume the production of the episode but, at least, we want to start planning all this. At the moment we have these concepts where you can see the idea we have for our cover, what do you think? Do you recognise all the characters?
On the other hand, because this episode is so special, there will be no new expressions for the characters. However, it's likely that there will be more CG than usual, two new characters and at least one new background.
- Programming
No bugs have been reported from the last episode, but there was a small bug with the icons on the itch page that was fixed fairly quickly. Otherwise no progress has been made on any special features.
- Other
Depending on the progress of the front page, we will be able to continue processing the steam forms or not. On the other hand, we'll open a call for a new translator to join the team and we'll try to manage everything related to this issue.
For the moment, there is nothing more we can communicate to you. Thank you for your invaluable support and see you next month.
