Hello everyone, as every first of the month we come with a production publication where we'll tell you what we have done and what we've got planned. We hope you are in good health and are looking forward to know what we have in store for you.
- Writing
The episode has surpassed 10k words, only a couple of scenes from the end are left to be finished and it will go to programming and then to translation. This process will probably happen next week. Very soon we''ll announce the name of the episode, which will mean that, OFFICIALLY, the episode will be in the hands of our translation partner. Although we haven't officially introduced her, Val has been collaborating with us for a few episodes now and the reviews have been very positive. We hope you're as happy with her work as we are.
After passing the patch to translation and while the artwork arrives... We''ll try to -finally- take up part of the script of Witch Tales: Fang and Porcelain, which currently exceeds 7k words. We plan to make some more extensive publications about this story when we have arts and other elements. Likewise, we can tell you that we''ll have Astrid, a luminary witch, able to manipulate light and Sköld a werewolf from a small tribe. Both will try to survive life in a court. All Witch Tales stories are partially based on mythological elements (the myth of Arachne for the first story), in this case, our inspiration comes from Norse mythology and the wolves that chased the chariot of the Sun Goddess.
- Art
We're sorry we've fallen behind with the Chronicles production in this regard, but we're about to get into the artistic part. Narratively speaking, the three CGs of the episode are planned, which will help in the process... We already announced several new shadows, as well as a new expression. There're no new backgrounds, no extra elements planned.
Most of our resources have gone into these 'cinematics' [1], [2], [3] and [4]. Which once finished... We won't need to take them up again for a long, long time. We remind you that all this is to be able to present ourselves to a contest that will take place during the Euskal Encounter (July 22-25) and that will help us a little more to support us economically.
- Programming
We've made severe fixes to BUGs in the last episode in preparation for the next patch. Graphical fixes are still in queue, but we'll resolve them before the next update.
The next major overhaul that the interface will undergo will be the gallery, which has become very outdated. The remodeling will be intense and will take some time, so we don't think we'll be able to offer it for the next patch.
- Other
We plan to make the official cover art for Chronicles between this month and next month. We're really looking forward to (finally!) being able to have a proper promotional artwork. It's one of the many things Steam requires from us to get on their platform.
This month we've had an overload of work due to the Euskal, but our update rates will not be severely affected, mainly due to overtime and cuts in other side projects. See you next month!
