Great video! On the crown-lobotomy thing we see on those guys, my first instinct was to interpret them as failed eyes, and with the religious imagery to assume these were disciples that tried to communicate with a God and failed, and those were the places where "eyes" should have grown. This is, I know, very Bloodborne, as "give us eyes" and tripophobia fit the imagery of that game a lot. Maybe I just played more Bloodborne and started seeking eyes everywhere as a result. It sounded like an option considering the game has at least 2 characters (Melina and Ranni) with closed eyes. However, your interpretation makes a lot more sense knowing they are supposed to be slaves and ties together better with the rest of the imagery in this place. I'm curious if the eye motif even appears more in Elden Ring now... either way, I should probably go play 10 hours of Elden Ring to gather more clues and come back
