Hey everybody! Hope your summer (and the offseason) is going great.
We obviously had a pretty big season, finally launching our dedicated website AdvancedHockeyStats.com to be the home of all player cards, stats, dashboards, and more. We've added a ton of features to the site, but we know there's room for more. We want this platform to be your home for hockey analytics so we want to know how we can make it even better.
Here's the Survey
We're using this survey as an opportunity to float some ideas we've had of things we could get done over the offseason and ready to go for puck drop in October. These include:
Eye-Test Based Player Scouting Reports
NHL player pages would include not only player cards but written-out detailed scouting reports of how they play the game based on eye test skills (but informed by data), providing the only NHLer scouting reports in the public sphere. These would not be written by AI, but based on my own and possibly others' detailed viewings of the player over the summer (and then updated throughout the season). As an example:
Interactive Dashboards Incorporated Directly into the Site
Right now we have Tableau dashboards embedded in the site, but Tableau can be a bit clumsy and hard to navigate. By incorporating the dashboards directly into the site, like player stats, team stats, historical data, etc. they'd be easier to navigate and customize. The goalie GSAx chart is an example of what we could do with the others.
Individual Game Stats and Graphics
This would essentially adapt our playoff dashboards and have them available for all regular season games so you could see shot maps, xGoal numbers, individual stats, etc.
Live Game Features
This would involve having game pages with live updating numbers as games are happening so you could keep up with xGoals, etc.
Game Probabilities
Pretty straightforward, before games happen there would be probabilities of each team winning.
Full Historical Data (2007-2024)
Historical WAR, player, and team data would be added to the site.
Historical Microstat Cards (2021-2024)
Player Cards using Corey Sznajder's AllThreeZones tracked data would be expanded to go back to the 2020-21 season instead of just 2024-25.
Microstat Data
AllThreeZones data would be embedded into the site and navigable through tables.
Dedicated Player Pages
A one-stop-shop player page with all cards, stats, and other information about the player in question.
Player Card Re-Design
Basically just a new player card design, replacing the current ones. Using the site does give some new flexibility for graphic design that we didn't have in the past.

Hello ,I'm writing because I'm having an issue with my account access. I am currently subscribed to the "Give J Fresh $100 Tier", which I believed is the highest-tier subscription available. However, when I try to access the "Cards" section under "Advanced Hockey Stats," I keep receiving a message prompting me to "Tier Upgrade." I think this must be an error, as my $100 subscription should include access to all features on the site. Could you please look into my account and resolve this issue so I can access the "Cards" section?
