BOOK CLUB LAUNCH
The Tea With Alice Literary Salon Book Club launches on Friday and I’ll put up an explainer on Thursday about what it is. If you have any questions you’d like me to answer, ask in the comments below and I’ll try to include the answers in the thursday explainer. Bullet point wise it’s
- We meet up and read a poem or a short story or extract of something together and then talk about it.
- So there’s no homework, though if you’re interested it might spark further reading.
- Yes you can lurk
- Yes you can suggest texts
- I think that’s it, it seems pretty straight forward t9 my mind, but then of course it does because it’s my idea. So let me know what you would like to know.

For me, having a Google Calendar is a great addition, but being told when new things are added (with their links) is still useful too.
The calendar helps for time zone maths!

I got it to work once I was able to use a laptop and not just my phone. I never thought of the emails as spam, but I was also doing the conversions and adding things to my own calendar so having this is quite nice. Thanks for doing it!

Google calendar doesn’t seem to integrate well with apple phones. After much to-ing and fro-ing (four attempts, perhaps) I managed to get your calendar to link to my google account but it isn’t showing on my phone. I’ll persevere… :-)

I’ve started putting the events on my calendar even though I haven’t been able to join. A calendar that I don’t need to update is a big help.
The google cal is a great idea!! Between converting time zones and multiple events it gets really confusing so just having it automatically populate my calendar is fantastic.
I do not think these emails are spam, but the calendar worked. I will not be able to join today, but the calendar event is glaring at me and sending reminders.
I'm wearing my Jordan, Jesse Go! shirt this morning in honor of the recent Tea With Alice episodes (which haven't made it to the top of my listening queue yet.)
The Google calendar worked for me. I don't use Google calendar very often but it is easily accessible from my mail so I guess it is a serviceable way of keeping up with Alice events.
