Tea With Alice Salon 82 : All Levels
🕑 Added 2022-11-07 09:35:50 +0000 UTCI headed to Canberra to do a gig this weekend. I took dad to mind LaserFraser and they put us up at a nice hotel. In fact, it’s the same hotel dad used to stay in back in the 90s when he was businessing and he would sometimes bring us kids, so it’s a nice full circle moment.
It was all rather cool and exciting and I’m really glad to have been asked. The guy on my left (stage right) is a Nobel prize winner, and the guy on my right (the other left) is Professor Brian cox. It was pretty great. I also have a picture of Laser in a space suit and next to a massive CSIRO / NASA dish, so I really felt like I was living the dream being able to parent and work and meet inspiring brains. I also made a rude but funny joke that won’t make it to air, which I was very proud of.
Then of course we had all got some horrible bug off the plane and spent the night extremely ill before getting on a plane back from Canberra to Brisbane.

This will be ALL levels. I can’t figure out how to make the timezones and baby times work to make it feel fair to all, but I’m doing my best!

Wow, Infinite Monkey Cage? That is awesome. I've been following Robin Ince and Prof Brian Cox since before he was a Prof. Love seeing creatives I admire meet! Please share some stories from this on the Salon if you can.
