Post Edinblog: Bad Holiday

This week has been a total wash - have been ignoring my phone and all reminders, and the prospect of figuring out what day of the week it is has been so daunting that I haven’t been able to do anything since my ill fated decision to do both the gargle and the bugle on travel days up here to the highlands from Edinburgh. I ended up recording the bugle by the side of a road in a car mysteriously surrounded by bees near invergarry, and the gargle in a hotel room after checkout time the next morning.
Next week I’ll do two salons, but NEITHER WILL BE ON DAYS WHERE I AM TRAVELING, and I’m not doing one this week because I genuinely don’t have the juice. I have got about enough brainpower to look at some sheep, which is what I’ve done yesterday after arriving at my friend’s house on skye, and even then, I accidentally pointed one out to my baby as “a Moo”. Look! A Moo! Laser Fraser corrected me, “A Ba” so I’m in the humiliating position of being very proud of my clever baby, and also objectively being stupider than a baby.
Salon details: one will be on Monday 5 September and one on Sunday 10 September before my 4pm filming of chronos. The rest of the week is basically the slow journey back to London, because car seats aren’t rated for more than 4 hours of driving a day, and the baby’s tolerance for being in a car seat is about half that time.
Both salons will be at 1pm U.K. time. Monday will be open access to all levels of Patreon, and will mostly be a post-edfringe chat.
Sunday with the afternoon tea and up levels will be a pre-filming chat. Those of you who have asked for Patreon comps on the door, I’ll either email you, or just tell the door people to let you in. Depending on the logistics - the museum of comedy has a reputation for being extremely close with comps, and if you ask for more than 5, you have to buy them with your own money. I’m hoping to just be able to walk people in or otherwise do an end run around the system.
But I will not keep Patreonites out of my show, even if it sells out and I have to seat you ON the stage. They can’t tell me I’m not allowed to have cast a dance troupe in my comedy act, even if that dance troupe inevitably forgets the elaborate interpretative movement piece it was meant to give in response to my punchline about masturbation. I’m very nouveau.

Wow, Laser is bright (pun intended). Our boy is 10 months older and still says "Cooow! Baaa.".

It's important for us all to be a little selfish once in a while - so prioritise yourself (and Laser Fraser, obviously) and ignore everything else. Safe travels. See you (from a distance) on the 11th! (I will look on Amazon for a Dance Troupe Worthy tutu later).
