Re-entry and All Levels Salon
🕑 Added 2022-01-31 06:51:48 +0000 UTCSo one of the things that I’ve been thinking about, is that next week I will be doing a discussion on cancel culture on the SBS (Australia’s publicly funded foreign language and culture broadcaster). They have a program called insight, in which they run discussions about things, aiming to be nuanced and in-depth, I guess much in the way that I do in my Tea With Alice and the salons. Though of necessity, given that it’s on television, less of a… safe space for incoherence?
Speaking of which I really should take Tea with Alice off hiatus. I keep meaning to, when things are a little less hectic with the baby, ha, or more realistically, when I have adjusted to the shift in gravitational axis and I still have the intention to do that within the next weeks. Maybe I’ll make this television appearance the catalyst. The problem is, I wanted to come back with a solo to cast discussing the interesting things about parenthood, to try and sort of get that out of the way, and I haven’t really been able to sum up this galloping horse in a way that I would find satisfying. Put it to one side and get back to broader questions, perhaps. Or do a Q&A.
Speaking of which, this weeks salon is an all levels access one. I would love it to be a Q&A, as well as an A & Q, in that I would like to talk to you about stuff. Details are below, I will send through the link closer to the time.

the boss will be in Sydney again soon so if you are desperate for guests, she may well be able to help out.
I sadly can’t make this one, although 2am CET usually isn’t much of a hindrance to my slightly messed up sleeping patterns. I’m starting a new job on Wednesday with an 8am start though, so I feel like joining wouldn’t be the brightest of choices. Hope you all have a great time!
I always find the TwA fascinating. As this salon is 1am UK what are the chances that you might record it for us sleepy Europeans. I admire your 3am US listeners. I don't have that resolve.

Oh goody, I hope the broader questions/Q&A can be a combo option coz boy do I have one that has been rattling around my brain that is in no way related to parenting that I've been vaguely waiting for a timely for me Q&A for. Although I will probably private message it because it's a safer space for incoherence for me (will I remember to? a whole other issue)
