In the doldrums of the year I tend to make lists and think about what I’m proud of in the last year, and what I’m ashamed of or want to do better with. I also make lists of what I want to do in the next year. It’s hard to make plans right now though. What do you do in these dog days between Christmas and my birthday? Or Christmas and new year if your birthday isn’t on the 7th Jan.

Thinking about being the kind of person who writes down their thoughts from this kind of year (in a place that is not tumblr which is currently busy having another internet purity censorship crisis anyway) but haven't hit on a way that feels more fun than work when I am attempting to rest and apparently uni ruined my friendship with long form writing (for now at least).

I make lists daily because I'm old and that's what we do. As far as what to do during the dog days, I'd say spend more time with dogs. I'll put it on my list

Trying to recover from 2 days of Christmas. I want to find that balance between relaxing with the family and still feeling like I've not had completely unproductive days.

Spend hours preparing and planning to make plans. Almost all of my yesterday was spent setting up my new planner so I'd be ready to make plans today. Can't plan enough for plans! Just ask Morrison ;)
