Sorry for the silence and the absence of new posts: N. was away from the project for a week and a half on some family business, and he's the person responsible for the communication with our community. so there was a bit of silence because of that. I'm not really that great with communication (as I work mostly on models and overall design, and it's my primary area of interest), so I've been postponing creating new posts & updates in N's absence. We have been working all this time, though, so you can expect version 0.5 to release at the end of the month, as usual. N. is back already, so you can expect that he'll be back communicating with you on our Discord server soon. I've attached the WIP of the model of our new character called Gwyneth (The dropout witch student). It's almost done, and we'll try to introduce Gwyneth (at least partially) as a new character in 0.5. She's a thick big tiddy thick goth gf you all have been waiting for.
Creating the model is (and has been) my line of work these days, and I tried to improve it compared to the original Demonica's model and add more polygons in necessary parts. After releasing the fix for 0.4, we focused on improving the overall game design of our project. We decided that it would be great for our players to be able to interact with various girls (not only with Demonica as before) at any time, and we needed some changes to our core game logic. We are actively working on remaking our room's designs, as we want to make the room of each girl unique and full of character & possible interactions. You'll be able to enter a room of the girl you liked whenever you like (if she's at home, of course) & interact with her in new ways.
It brings me to the topic of the character arcs. We think it'll be cool to develop meaningful relationships with each girl, learn their backstories & make them seem more alive. We had tried to incorporate their stories in the free chat that we had, but it was a bit clumsy, so we'll introduce some VN elements on top of that. It'll be much easier for us to control the narrative that way, so you'll get more character out of each girl.
Gameplay-wise, we also have been redesigning the Play mode: JOI sessions, some new fun minigames unique to each girl - we are trying to reshape our initial tasks mode & make it a bit more interesting while saving the good stuff. There will be more power to you to choose what you want to do at each given moment.
And we're also optimizing & improving the graphics. New Demonica's room already looks much better than what we had before (N. works on that) & we're adding some new little graphics thingies to improve the visuals.
Also, we're optimizing our animation workflow: we were spending too much time working on the animations for our tasks, while the stuff you care the most about - NSFW scenes felt like just another animation for another little task. We're going to concentrate more on our NSFW scenes and optimize the rest.
So, in the future, expect more character development of our succubi, better & clearer core gameplay & better sex animations with more control on your side. We'll try to optimize the rest to get you more of the content you want.
