After we bought our house I kept looking at the local listings out of habit. It was unusual to see photos of a house that was completely without furniture, but there was one that was notable. For some reason, the realtor thought things might look more homey if they placed a single throw pillow or potted plant on the floor up against the wall in every room. A single bowl of oranges in the empty kitchen. It was actually kind of eerie.
