Future Patreon Early/BTS Videos
🕑 Added 2020-02-27 22:08:01 +0000 UTCHello everyone,
If you're reading this, the Tentacle series is over. The series was a massive time sink, both in terms of setting it, editing, exporting and uploading two different versions, and re-editing/re-uploading when and if YouTube clapped me, so I'm going back to two videos a day for a couple of days to have a bit of a break and deal with some real life stuff too!
I, however, am NOT A BIG FOOL (despite what the comments section think) and I know a lot of you only joined the Patreon to be able to see that juicy behind the scenes content, which is exactly what it's here for! Partially one of the reasons I'm putting up this post is to give those of you notice who only signed up for the uncensored degeneracy that I have no immediate plans for continuing with uncensored content, for a little while. So if you're only a Patron for the uncensored series, consider adjusting or cancelling your pledge to match this!
I have however spoken privately to the developer of House Irae and Luxuria Fantasia - a mod similar to Dark World Reborn but it's far more balanced and well designed in my opinion with much better theming - and after she's given a thumbs up to mod choices, I will be doing another series. This future series will require censoring so will, like Tentacle Dreams, be uploaded somewhere hidden from the eyes of Youtube for Patrons to enjoy.
I do, however, want to continue doing Patron BTS/First content - Patreon allows me to set a time limit on posts before they go live, which might be a nice compromise to my "No Patreon Exclusive" content policy.
Firstly, I'd be interested to know if anyone has anything in mind that they would like to see me do, whether that be a video where I present monthly channel data/analytics rather than the Patreon posts. Or whether that is something a bit more entertainment driven like a podcast, lets play series, or anything along those lines. I've already started experimenting with slotting in a long format game on the second channel (Dark Souls 2 in this case) just to see if it's possible within the schedule, and I think it's definitely do-able, so why not give you guys some say over it.
Another idea I'd like to try is behind the scenes development diaries for an upcoming mod I've been working on. I don't want to spoil too much with regards to it, and I definitely don't want to over-promise on it and be confined to a time limit, but it would be very useful to get feedback on the features as they get implemented, but before they get cemented in place and built upon. I don't want to give a schedule for this though, otherwise it'll end up being rushed and effect both the dev diary itself and the quality of the mod.
I'd probably aim to put up one a week with Patrons getting a few days of exclusivity so I can get feedback in a more sensible environment, rather than the screech-pits of YouTube.
I'm also gonna go bit more low-scope, with a "back to the drawing board" style series a kin to Rimworld where we play the CK2 ruler challenges in order to give myself both a refresher on base-game CK2, and a little work time for another series mod I've been working on *Cough* Game of Thrones Unlanded *Cough*
TL:DR - Check the stuff in bold, tentacles over, base game CK2 series incoming for a short time, Game of Thrones retuning, dev diaries potentially?
Thank you all for making this month of the most successful for the Patreon, even for those of you only here for a short while, it's been incredible and was thoroughly unexpected, so I hope I can continue living up to your faith in me and the channel!

I'll be honest I subbed for degeneracy but if my continued small sub helps you in any way to make more great CK2 content then awesome.
I know this sounds bad, but I honestly haven't even watched your degeneracy videos, even the censored ones. I watched the first two (?) episodes before the tentacle one even started, and just didn't vibe with them compared to a series like Joris Bonson or the "Battle Grandma" series. (Apparently, I can't hit enter to make a second paragraph on mobile, so consider this a line break). I am looking forward to your base game playthrough, though, while you gear up for new series. It sounds like it'll be rocking!
Honestly the reason I pledged had nothing to do with CK 2 or Rimworld or honestly any of the games you do it is more for your personality and how you connect with your community through your videos, you probably could put out a live stream of you chilling and just talking with your fans and I would watch it, you care about your community and you want to do well for it so pledging is the least we can do for all of the hard work you put forward
Personally I'm fine with not getting exclusive content on the regular. As for dev diaries, it would be way over my head. My husband has raged so much over darksouls that I'm too traumatized to even watch your second channel for it but I'm sure if another game came up it could be interesting. Someone in discord mentioned divinity original sin, which I am pretty sure I'd 100% enjoy you doing a playthrough of. As for what I want as a patreon, you already cover it all by just uploading the content you already do :-).

I confess I'm quite looking forward to the base CK2 Ruler challenges. Also would be more than happy to watch any other games or lets plays that you fancy putting on the channel, both because it's fun to see you tackle new gameplay mechanics (which is one of the reasons I always enjoy your modded Rimworld runs) and also because hopefully some variation will help avoid burnout. If you play/enjoy Stellaris I'd be quite tempted to suggest trying it out for a short series once the new expansion/performance patch drops as I think that would be cool.

Probably good that you’re done with the tentacle series. Watching 4 episodes a day of mr. streamer has given me dreams of you yelling at me for fucking something up in game.
