New Year , New Changes *Important Announcement*
🕑 Added 2022-12-27 23:43:34 +0000 UTCGreetings Patrons-
As this year comes to an end we reflect on past challenges and look to the future as an opportunity to grow and improve.. I was lucky enough to overcome my own difficulties and return to work in better health. This page has been active since 2019 and during that time the community has faced a few issues I find pertinent.
The Issues-
- Intellectual Property (IP)- Fan art has always been a subject of controversy in the 3D printing community. Many artists get criticized for indirectly profiting from others IP. This is difficult as an artist who gets many requests to make fan art.
- Piracy- 3D Artists suffer from piracy. People steal our files then sell them for their own profit. Artists (including myself) have been hesitant to make drastic changes because it could put our Patreon income at risk. I believe this is the right time to make a change for the better.
The Solution-
I have always given my back catalogue to supporters as I never operated this page as a store, but rather as a platform to support me to keep bringing you quality models to 3D print. I will continue this practice but now with the understanding that all fan art will go free a month after its Patreon release. Fan art will remain free on Printables as opposed to staying exclusive on Patreon.
The Explanation of tiers- pricing and names of the 3 tiers will stay the same.
- Peppermint ($5) has early access to fan art one month before it's released on Printables. This tier supports me in general and grants access to Discord.
- Mint Condition ($10) has early access to fan art models one month before they are released on Printables. Mint Condition has access to my Originals as they are released and access to my back catalogue and to Discord.
- Mint Partner ($40) have the benefits of all previous tiers and Merchant permissions (permission to sell my original concepts as physical prints).
My Patrons are amazing-
I want to thank you all for your support. I would not be here today without it, and I hope you are satisfied by my efforts and improvements to my Patreon and the greater community moving forward. Knowing how much my supporters have enjoyed my past models gives me the confidence to move forward. All I ask from you is your continued support and I will give you my 100% as I always have. You are the fuel that keeps me going and I hope you understand why these changes are important to me as an artist.
On a personal note, freeing myself from the "Fan Art controversy" is going to allow me to make more of my own original art and do nothing but improve my creative process. I am genuinely looking forward to this and I hope that you all are as well.

Hello and have a happy new year. I understand what you are saying but i would also like to remind that i dont own licenses for fanart of any IP and that was always a thing i explain in the partners description. My originals stay exclusivve in patreon as always and these are the only models i can give licenses for. Selling fanart has always been up to the seller and not me personally because i simply cant tell anyone to go ahead and sell something that i do not own the IP of. As for the pirates, they always have been selling my stls and physical copies without asking, and the models are shared or sold in facebook, telegram etc groups. I hope you understand that all i tried to do was the right thing in the end of the day. Thank you for your support and have a happy new year.
Hi! First of all... Happy New Year!! I will continue to support you like all these years because I think you are a great artist! Regarding the fact of making the fanart designs free one month after launching them, I understand your point of view but I think that this will cause us to find more people selling these without authorization. I have already seen at events this type of people who is dedicated to downloading free models of various artists and selling them without problem. At least with the patreon I suppose that they did not do it due to ignorance or for not paying even the minimum fee Of course I will support you in your decisions, but I think that a month difference is a short time, especially for mint partners Regards!!
Good news Fotis mate. Have to say, I prefer your original concept stuff more than the 'fan art' and it sells better too! ;) Looking forward to more awesome unique art from you. :D

(misread originally) The fan art will be on Printables. As Fotis said, you'll still get new fan art a month before it goes out to the public.

All the fanart back catalogue will be released for free on printables. The thing that changes for peppermint is that you will get early access for one month to all new fanart releases before they are released for free on printables. If you have more questions feel free to ask me
patrick
so current peppermint supporters lose access to the back catalouge
