Hello everyone, welcome to the first development blog of the near year! It's been an awesome first year for RaveMMD, and I'm not slowing down for 2022. If you're new here, we start every month with a blog that covers the content for the month. Since this is the first post of the year, we'll also talk about some future plans as well.
So... about Genshin
I've reached a "content crossroad", when it comes to making new animations this year. As you can see from my previous content, I enjoy making MMD's featuring the lovely Hatsune Miku. However, I decided to change things up and try a Genshin Impact style animation. The result was completely overwhelming! The reception of Raiden in Trouble absolutely crushed anything I had made before. This poses a dilemma for me in regards to what to make next. I really enjoyed making Raiden in Trouble, and would love to make some more similar videos in the future. I'm just afraid of feeling pressured into making one style of animation, based on what videos garner the best results.
Let's Poll It
Next week, I'll be running some polls on Patreon to help shape what content I create next. There is never a point where I'm not working on something, as I already have several projects in the making. These polls will ask for your opinion on Miku vs Genshin Impact content, and what's the expectation going forward. I know many will want to see more Genshin Impact MMD's, and I'm prepared to deliver just thast! With that being said, variety is what keeps animating enjoyable for me. I appreciate your participation, and look forward to hearing everyone's opinion!
Old Projects, New Me
Making Raiden in Trouble really helped grow my understanding of animation, therefore increasing the quality of my work. However, prior to making Raiden in Trouble I had some Miku projects in progress. Some were very close to completion, and regardless of recent events I would like to go back and finish them. Unfortunately, the quality of animation isn't necessarily up to my "new standard". With that being said, I'll upgrade the camera and make small tweaks to bring them up to speed. So before deep diving into the new projects for 2022, I'm going to finish my old ones. I think you all will still enjoy them!

So much to do, so little time!
I have so much to write, but I don't want this blog to go on forever! I have many plans for this year, including brand new projects and design overhauls for the Patreon. Working a full time job and trying to maintain a social life makes it hard to keep up with animating. RaveMMD is extremely important to me, and I'll do whatever it takes to succeed and bring you all content to enjoy. Next month I hope to share new animations, and speak more about exciting changes to come. Thank you to all the new Patreons from December, as well as the ones who have supported me from day one. Let's make this year like none other, and I'll see you all soon!
