And amidst her needs, expectations and conceits, she makes a fateful, unwise, and truly, deeply deplorable choice...
I promised myself that, with Rescue Hound, I was going to write more, shorter chapters, since that makes for a much more pleasant update cadence. I have immediately failed; as you'll see, this second chapter clocks in 11.5k words. So at least I can compensate you for the wait
