Stan dragged his brawny blond boyfriend Carl up to yet another carnival event he wasn’t interested in: the Ferris Wheel. Carl grumbled, rolling his eyes. Stan sighed and ran his hand threw his curly black hair. The sunny day was marred by thick clouds and the winds had picked up. Rain was coming soon.
“You said you didn’t want to do the death drop because you don’t ‘do scary rides’--whatever that means–so I figured the Ferris Wheel would be perfect,” Stan said. He interlaced his fingers with Carl’s, kissing his boyfriend’s hand, but Carl used his free hand to fish out his phone. “What’s with the phone?”
“Just texting someone,” Carl grumbled.
“Texting who?”
“Don’t worry about it.”
Stan sighed. “I don’t get why you’re not excited to spend time with me here today.”
Carl slid his muscular hand–easily twice the size of Stan’s–out of the smaller man’s grip. He sighed. “We’re in our 30s, man. You want to run around a CARNIVAL with me? Want to go through the tunnel of love? Hall of mirrors? Dude, we’re not an old straight couple… or a young straight couple.”
“Carnivals are fun,” Stan interjected.
“Not my kind of fun,” Carl snapped back.
“Your kind of fun is cocaine and lots of dudes in jockstraps,” Stan spat.
“You forgot steroids, and the gym,” Carl said, turning away.
Stan sighed as Carl started to walk down the trash-strewn dirt road of the carnival midway. “Look, I’m sorry,” he said. “I didn’t want this to be like this.”
“It’s my fault,” Carl said without looking up from his thumbs tapping on his phone. “I agreed to come here today. I should have said outright that this isn’t a good idea.”
Stan paused. “When you say ‘this’ do you mean the carnival… or… ‘THIS,’ as in, our relationship.”
“Our THREE WEEK OLD relationship,” Carl said. “It was a red flag when you jumped to ‘boyfriend’ so quickly.”
Stan shook his head. He flashed a defeated grin. “There were more red flags than that, big man. Trust me.”
He hustled to catch up with the 6’5” man’s lengthy gait. “I have to admit,” Stan said, “today was kind of… a test. I had a feeling this wasn’t going as well as it did in the beginning.”
A clown stepped in front of Carl, honking a horn and squirting himself in the face with a seltzer bottle.
“Out of the way, tiny, before I toss you over that ferris wheel.” Carl easily shoved the clown aside. The silly performer played up his tumble to the ground, somersaulting into a trashcan that ended up on his head.
“So what now?” Stan asked.
“What now? From here,” Carl said, scratching his big pecs through his skin-tight polo shirt, “you drive me home, then we delete each other’s numbers.”
Stan feigned a smile. He had known this was how the relationship was going–had planned on it, actually–but experiencing the rejection still hurt, despite the fact that he expected it. Carl reached into his jeans to readjust his junk. Stan took a moment to peep a glimpse at that big bulge, as well as the short flash of rock-hard abs visible for just a moment as the shirt slid up.
“Well, why wonder about the future when we can find out right now?” Stan said. He jogged ahead of Carl and gestured toward a purple tent covered in silver moons. “GIOVANNI’S TAROT READINGS!”
“Dumb,” Carl said. “No fucking way.”
“I’m driving you home,” Stan said, his tone changing. “Either you do this last dumb thing for me or you get an Uber home.”
“We’re in the middle of nowhere,” Carl said. “It’s gonna be a 50 dollar Uber, easy.”
“Then take five minutes to get our tarot cards read,” Stan said. He crossed his arms. Carl leaned in, and Stan expected the bigger man to literally toss him over his shoulder and carry him out, but Carl just sighed and threw his musclebound arms up in the air.
“Fine. Dumb tarot thing. Let’s go.”
Stan smiled, following Carl inside the tent.
Inside, a heavyset man puffed from a pipe as he sat back on stool. He was draped in robes the same color and pattern as the tent. He stroked his greasy mustache and smiled as the two men entered.
“Good afternoon! I thought I was going to go the entire day without glimpsing a single future,” the man said in a sing-songy falsetto voice. “I’m Giovanni! Welcome, welcome. Ah, you both have such lovely auras!”
“You fucking kidding me?” Carl said, freezing at the door.
“You agreed!” Stan said, shoving Carl with both hands. The gigantic musclehead didn’t budge until he wanted to, falling into the chair in front of the table. Its wooden legs creaked under Carl’s dense 270 pounds.
“Okay, show me my future,” Carl said. “Hopefully it involves being in a threeway with two linebackers tonight.”
Giovanni giggled as he stroked a crystal orb. “Well, let’s just see…” He pulled a large card off the top of his deck and gazed at it. “Oh, goodness. You, my friend, are a spectacle! A man to be admired.”
“Damn right,” Carl said, his mouth curling up into a smirk.
“Yes, that body of yours… that exquisite form… you most certainly will be treasured for that beauty for the rest of your days! Men will just sit and gaze at your form–the solid lines, the satisfying shape… you’ll be an exhibit of male perfection!”
“You saw all that on your freaking card?” Carl said with a chuckle.
“There’s more,” Giovanni said, sliding the deck toward Carl. “Choose a card and we’ll see what else lies ahead for you!”
Carl grabbed the first card on the deck. He flipped it over and somehow it released a flash of silvery light. Carl gasped, dropping the card. “What was that? What… what did you do?”
He patted his body, shifting uncomfortably. “I feel…”
Giovanni leaned forward. Stan did the same thing. Each of them wore the same half-smile, each of them eagerly waiting for what was next.
Suddenly Carl’s skin-tight polo went slack. “The fuck?” he said, looking down as the neck hole of his shirt sagged, his massive muscular arms suddenly swimming in the sleeves. The bottom of the shirt slid down his legs. His shoes slid right off.
Carl was getting smaller right before their eyes!
The diminishing musclehead suddenly leapt to his feet. His jeans clattered to the ground, still buckled. “Stan, Stan, you gotta help me!” Carl said in a cartoonishly high-pitched voice, staring up at his boyfriend. He was only about three feet tall now, and rapidly losing size.
Stan reached out and yanked Carl’s shirt up and away, revealing his soon-to-be ex’s naked body, now only two-feet tall. Carl slapped his hands over his junk, whirling around to see both Stan and Giovanni looming over me.
“This isn’t fucking possible! How the fuck…”
Giovanni reached for the twelve-inch tall–no, ten-inch–stud, but the little bodybuilder made a break for it. “Get the fuck away from me!” he said in a squeak that was nearly too quiet to hear. He sprinted for the door to the tent, but Stan slammed a foot down in front of him. Carl crashed into it, tumbling back to his butt. “Stan, baby, what are you doing!”
“Now, now,” Giovanni said, now out of his seat. He rolled up his sleeves and approached the shrunken muscleman. “Let’s get a look at you.”
“Hey… hey, please… just grow me again, man!”
“You certainly know my taste in men,” Giovanni said to Stan, who let out a sigh.
“I’m glad! I was worried you wouldn’t like his attitude.”
“Oh, I LOVE the attitude,” Giovanni said, snatching up the doll-sized hunk and gently clapping him between his two hands. “Just look! So small, still so much fight in him…” He curled his hand around Carl, leaving only his blueberry-sized head exposed from the fist. His protests were now just too small to be heard. “Okay, now, little one, let’s just take a moment to chill out…” Giovanni took a puff off his pipe and exhaled the smoke right into Carl’s face. The little guy coughed and spattered, but he was instantly relaxed.
“Can I… Can I have Ian now?” Stan said.
“Just a moment, my boy,” Giovanni said, placing the naked 4-inch tall beefcake right on the deck of cards he had drawn from a moment before. “We still have to deal with the last few details here.” Giovanni produced a small atomizer. He pointed it at Carl, who lay back dazed and murmuring. One squeeze of the bulb covered Carl in some clear substance. The little man tried to wipe it away but his movements were slowing down.
“Wow! It happens so fast!” Stan said, marveling at what had become of the man who had been about to dump him minutes before.
Giovanni gently posed Carl, making him stand at attention, his massively muscular chest held high, his bulging arms down at his side. His flaccid penis pointed up; Giovanni nudged it until it arced downward. Carl was now only making soft whimpers right now, getting quieter every moment.
“And… there we are! Beautiful!” Giovanni stood Carl up and marveled at the beautiful anatomically correct toy he had created. “Well, we are just going to dress you up in the sexiest little outfits, aren’t we, little man?” He rubbed Carl’s now-plastic head. Carl had a dazed look in his eyes, his mouth slightly open in a vague smile.
“I know you’re just bursting at the seams to have YOUR little prize,” Giovanni said, gesturing to Stan to walk with him. The two approached a large trunk at the back of the ten. Giovanni turned keys in six different locks, flipped the latches, then opened it up. Inside were dozens of men, the same size as Carl was now, all dressed in intricate costumes.
Giovanni removed an empty glass case and gently set Carl inside. “Don’t you worry, little one,” he said, rubbing Carl’s head with a single finger, “we’ll get you dressed up in just a moment. We just need your ex-boyfriend to reconnect with his love!”
The doll Giovanni removed from the trunk was dressed in board shorts with dark sunglasses high on his head. Giovanni produced tweezers to carefully strip the doll–”So he doesn’t hurt himself growing back!”--then removed a different atomizer, spritzing the little muscular blond. Almost instantly, the doll stumbled around, gasping loudly. “Good boy!” Giovanni said lovingly. “Take it easy,” he said, holding up a hand for the little man to grab on to as he steadied himself. “Breathe with those lungs. Stretch those muscles. You’re a man again! Well, almost…”
He selected a card from his tarot deck and held it up. The nude micro-man was bathed in light. Giovanni set him on the floor and Stan got to see the shrinking process happen in reverse. The tiny man shot up to a foot tall, then two feet. He gazed around at the room in wonder as, to him, everything started getting smaller. It wasn’t long before he was knee-high, then waist-high, and still rocketing up, his muscular limbs growing along with the rest of him.
Stan’s smile doubled when the golden-haired beauty surpassed him in height, continuing to sprout up past Carl’s former height. When it was over, he seemed too big for the tent. Stan estimated he had to be 6’7” tall, seemingly stuffed with dense, powerful muscles.
“Ian?!” Stan said hopefully. The giant man’s eyes lit up as he reached out and touched Stan’s face.
“Oh my god, Stan,” Ian said, tears in his eyes. “I can’t believe… Oh my god, I haven’t heard my own voice in so long!”
“Well, you’re free to go now,” Giovanni said. He had dressed Carl in a pink ballerina costume, complete with a tutu, and was giggling as he put his new prize in the trunk. “Enjoy your lives together! Ian, I will miss you, as will all my clients.”
Ian nodded, bowing his head. Then he took Stan’s hand and the two started to leave.
“Wait, wait!” Giovanni said. “My darling, you DO have to wear clothes now. You’re not just a man, you’re a…” He cleared his throat, nodding at the massive cock and balls swinging between Ian’s thick legs, “...BIG man.”
Ian blushed as he looked down. “It’s gonna be… hard… to get used to doing stuff like that again.” He tried on Carl’s discarded clothes, but they weren’t quite big enough. The shirt tore in half as he pulled it on. He ended up tying the pants around his waist, just enough to cover his cock and huge glutes.
“Good enough!” Giovanni said. “Now get that man to a Big and Tall store!” Stan leaned his head on Ian’s massive shoulder as the two walked away.
At Stan’s house, he found a robe that Carl had left in his bedroom. It wasn’t quite large enough for Ian’s size, but it would do until they got some bigger clothes.
“What do you want to do?” Stan said as the two sat on his bed, staring into each other’s eyes.
Ian blinked. “It’s weird… I haven’t been able to decide what I want to do in…” He searched the air for an answer. “I have no idea how long I was a doll.”
“Giovanni wouldn’t tell,” Stan added, “but he said it was a long time. He also said you were one of his most popular exhibits, too.”
Ian nodded, sighing deeply. “Yeah, I guess I was. I couldn’t really see all the other guys except when we were in the trunk. Then I could see whoever was next to me. When he had us on display, and all those guys would come by and check us out, it was like I was all alone, even though I know all the other guys were all nearby. So I can’t say if I was more or less popular than anyone else…”
He sighed loudly, looking away.
“We don’t have to talk about that,” Stan said, gently stroking Ian’s rippling, veiny biceps. “We can do… whatever… It’s probably been awhile since you’ve cum, right?”
Ian chuckled. “My dick’s been half-hard all day. I think I… I think I want to take care of that.”
“We can do whatever you want,” Stan said, gently opening Ian’s robe. “I just want to make you as happy as you’ve made me.”
Ian smiled. “There’s… a lot I want to do. But one thing I need to take care of first.” He stood, crossing the room. He produced a small purple envelope, painted with silver moons exactly like Giovanni’s tent. “I think… you should read this.”
Stan breathlessly took the envelope, staring up at Ian’s chiseled face and bulging physique before opening the envelope. A single card fell out, flashing a silver light in Stan’s face.
“Wait… what the…”
“I’m sorry,” Ian said as Stan started to shrink into his own clothes. “But you know Giovanni’s rules… a man for a doll, no exceptions.”
Stan stood up, shocked, as his shirt started to swallow him up. “But… but… we had a connection!” He quivered as his giant of a man loomed larger and larger above him, casting a shadow so cold he shivered.
“Maybe,” Ian said, reaching down once Stan was small enough to be picked up. “But I spent all my time as a doll next to a gorgeous doll named Greg… and I can’t leave him behind.”
When Ian parked Stan’s car in the carnival’s parking lot, the sun had gone down. The Tarot Reading tent was dark, but Ian knew he could find Giovanni in a shack on the other side of the midway. There, the portly man had arranged his dolls for viewing. A select group of men bought tickets to leer at the beautiful little dolls, spending extra to take the dolls into private booths, knowing full well the gorgeous, inanimate toys were once full-sized men.
“Ah, Ian,” Giovanni said as the huge man walked in, still in Carl’s robe.
“I’ve got him here,” he said, producing a fist. “He really needs to be changed soon. He’s not taking this well.”
Giovanni shrugged. He spritzed Stan with the atomizer and the tiny naked man got stiffer until he had turned into living plastic. Ian produced a dark-skinned muscular doll dressed in army attire. He stripped it before growing it back to full size–6’2” tall, not quite as lofty as Ian’s height, but quite a bit wider with thick, powerful muscle.
“I feel like a proud daddy right now!” Giovanni said as Ian and Greg passionately kissed. The two hulking men left the shack. “In the meantime… I think I’ll put you in a tuxedo…” Giovanni said to Stan’s now-silent face, “...and we’ll get that beautiful lunk Carl in a wedding dress, and we’ll give you two a little ceremony! My guests will just love that!”
Stan had nothing to say in response.
